The advantages of a pet.

Do you know the advantages of having a pet? Unconditional love, anti-stress and personal trainer;

Do you really know how many advantages a pet can give you?

First of all, I understand that not all people are ready to take full responsibility for a pet.

One way to enjoy the benefits of a pet is to offer to walk a friend’s doggie.
Cat-sit (to guard a friend’s kitty) or volunteer (part-time) at your local shelter.

Even if you spend little time with animals you will certainly receive some of the benefits they can offer you.

What are the advantages?

Indeed, the advantages are innumerable. But I am giving you some that I consider to be the most important.

1 ) Get your own personal trainer. A dog has certain needs that need to be met. He needs to go for a walk and play. What does this mean for you? That you should go out even when you don’t want to. He is your personal motivator.

2 ) They help in heart function. The American Heart Association has published a study that finds that dog ownership is a way to prevent cardiovascular disease.

3 ) It is a source of anti-stress. However, research has shown that social interaction between humans and dogs and cats increases levels of the hormone oxytocin1. Research also shows that simply petting a dog or cat reduces the stress hormone cortisol2.

4 ) They offer an unconditional love. Our pets love us unconditionally. They are always there for us. It’s the best part after a long day. Especially when I come home to a hug from my pets (I have several).

5 ) They help with self-esteem. A study showed that pets provide a sense of purpose to the owner. This helps the owner to experience positive feelings about himself more often. Feelings such as gratitude, fulfillment, giving. All this provides a positive environment for development.

6on It is good for children. First of all, those of you who have children and have a pet already know how many advantages they offer.
For those who don’t know, research shows that pets are very helpful in developing responsible behaviour in children who care for them. They provide direct contact with nature. In addition, they can teach respect for life.

It’s not just fruit and perfume

Certainly, having a pet is not only a big responsibility but also an extra expense. Therefore, before we adopt a pet, whether it’s a dog, a kitten, a kitten, a turtle, whatever, we need to think about it. To have weighed up the situations and to be aware of the reality.

I personally believe that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. But the decision remains yours.
