You black? Maybe the holidays are slowly coming to an end. However we will still keep one of our favourite souvenirs of every summer, our tan!
When your skin has been tinted by the sun and your skin tone has changed, your makeup routine can’t stay the same. Below I have some little tips for you to bring out your sun-kissed colour and enhance your natural beauty with products that are already in your wardrobe.
Make sure your skin is hydrated and protected
Your skin always needs hydration and sun protection, regardless of the time of year. Especially in the summer, when you are exposed to the sun and potentially harmful UV rays. Sunlight can certainly give us the great tan we so desire. However, if you expose your skin to it without sun protection, it can cause premature aging, along with various other unwanted conditions.
Avoid the Foundation
In fact, there is no reason to apply fondation on tanned skin. The purpose of this product is to give us a fresh and radiant look. In this case, the sun has already done the job. If you think you still need it, opt for a thin-flowing product that allows your skin to breathe on hot summer days (and nights).
Focus on apples and cheekbones
The middle area of your face should be a key point of interest in your makeup. There’s no better way to bring out the bronzed look of your skin than to highlight your cheek and apple area. The important thing is to choose the right shade of blush or bronzer, according to your personal preferences and skin tone. Shades of coral or rose will give a fresh look to your face, while a golden bronzer on the cheekbones will add shine to your makeup.
Emphasize your lips
Another point to focus on when choosing the right makeup for tanned skin is your lips. Of course you can also leave them completely natural. However, a red-orange or coral lipstick will make you look even more stunning and glamorous. Earthy colours are also a very good choice.
Play with your eye makeup
When it comes to shadows on your eyes, there are countless ways you can experiment. When your skin is bronzed, the options are truly endless If you want to achieve a sexier look, try a dark smokey eye. If, on the other hand, you want to maintain a more natural look, emphasize your eyes with a shade a shade darker than your natural colour.
Highlighters!
Highlighters are always welcome. When you have completed your makeup, apply a glossy highlighter on the upper side of your cheekbones, on your apples and on the upper side of your lips at the v. The application of the highlighter, of course, should always be done with care and without exaggeration.
So, with minimal effort you can create a look that will elevate your summer look.
Good creations!
