The fashion moodboard of the summer comes from TikTok and has a Hawaiian air #CoconutGirl

For as long as most catwalks have been on hiatus, TikTok has always been there to fill the void. Lately we’ve seen several trends pop up on the platform and become sought after overnight. Spring and summer are definitely the two seasons that inspire Tiktokers the most. That’s why we now need to talk about the new trend that goes by the name of “Coconut Girl”.

The Coconut Girl aesthetic is the most appropriate for a summer after a global crisis.

Its ingredients seem relatively simple. The most basic of these is the classic Hawaiian pattern with hibiscus.

You too can be a Coconut Girl without necessarily living on a Caribbean island

This is the most attractive part of the new trend. One search on TikTok and you’ll see girls in the city centre, dressed in colourful and floral designs, dressing up their videos and images with happy music. This is exactly what Coconut Girl represents today. Another translation of the term that exists is “the feeling you felt as a teenager on summer vacation”.

So it won’t be too hard for you to go back to those experiences and become a Coconut Girl. The clothes you need to adopt this style are probably already in your wardrobe or in a second hand clothes shop.
These are pieces that JLo and Rihanna once wore in the early 2000’s and at the time we couldn’t believe they were going to someone other than them.

Gen Z seems to “invent” the best distractions from reality.

This new generation doesn’t hesitate to take inspiration from previous decades and put its own twist on it. But it always seems to be aimed at recycling fashion and reusing clothes. Something that, as it turned out, savoirville notes, we millenials were not thinking about with the trends we were inventing.
