After all, “If you don’t know where you come from, you don’t know where you are going”.
How has our art been influenced through the decades, what have we kept and what have we left behind?
What will we find before us?
We start from the Edwardian era which is the period covering the reign of King Edward, from 1901 to 1910.
Edward was the leader of a fashionable elite who created a style influenced by the art and fashion of continental Europe – perhapsbecause the King liked to travel. We observe the trends of the time and their evolution.
We notice the accessories that adorned the hair and the overall styling.
What hairdressing tools were born back then and help hairdressers create textures in hair to this day?
What techniques were born then and are we still working on them today?
Where did people draw inspiration from back then?
Get inspired by the past and find ways to apply them to today!
In our first episode we will look back to 1900. . . Have a nice trip!
