Do you have allergies too? Cure her!

One in three Greeks suffer from some kind of allergy at some point in their lives.

If you are lucky it may be a transient thing and you may only have it for a short period of your life. If you’re not careful, it may be something you’ll have forever, with fluctuations depending on the weather. Unfortunately, the pandemic has aggravated the problem of allergies. Solutions to help and relieve yourself from the annoying symptoms, there are solutions!!!!

Air pollution, global warming, global warming, global warming, climate change, pandemic, dust, pollen, are some of the main causes where every year there is an increase in allergic cases. In particular, in the last 30 years, allergies have increased by 30%, with that of vulture allergies being the most common.

Our climate has changed and temperatures can even within a week vary by as much as plus 10.15 degrees. This is even worse for someone who suffers from allergies, since they need special medication for a longer period of time. Climate change affects allergies by altering the concentration of allergens, allergenic potential, the synthesis and transport of allergenic pollens and the development of new allergens.

All those cleaning products, which for better or worse we have to use much more often during this pandemic period, are also bad for allergies. The excess of all these and the chemical compounds they contain alter our immune system, often exacerbating our allergies.

Do you know what you’re allergic to?

Lately everyone I know has had an allergy. They sneeze, itch, have some rashes, have runny nose, watery eyes, cough and several other discomforts. If you see any of these symptoms and they do not go away within a few days, contact an allergist. Most likely he will give you a nasal spray in combination with an antihistamine, advise you on the right prevention plan and suggest a desensitisation procedure, i.e. specific immunotherapy, which is the only causal and definitive treatment for respiratory allergy.

The most common cause of allergy is pollen. If you live near an area with coniferous trees (cypress, pine, cedar, fir, larch, juniper) then you are more susceptible. Also, pay attention to mould hiding in the house and dust mites on carpets, bed linen and blankets.

One piece of advice, if you have found that your problem is from pollen, is to avoid exercising outdoors, especially in the morning, where its density is particularly high. Also at home make sure your windows are closed. When you return, be sure to take a shower and change clothes. If your problem is mould, mites or dust, good room ventilation and sun exposure of bedding is important.

Proper nutrition against allergies
Proper nutrition once again saves you from allergies. In particular, if you include fresh fruits, vegetables, lean protein and whole foods in your daily routine, you will automatically help reduce inflammation, thus helping your body.
