A childhood fear of mine has, thankfully, just been shattered. I’ve always been terrified that our eyelashes don’t grow if anything happens to them. That’s why I made sure to keep an eye on them, so I could have them.

According to research, eyelashes also have a growth cycle, so the fall of some of them is usually not a problem and should not worry us. There is no specific period of time required for them to grow and it all depends on the cause of their loss.

If you also want long and thick lashes, first of all, get on a healthy eating plan. Avoid eyelash curlers, don’t forget to bleach every night, don’t rub your eyes vigorously and finally keep reading this text!!!!

A Proper diet with nutrients for the health of your hair and eyelashes includes the following. Include vitamin C, vitamin B, vitamin D, vitamin D, zinc, iron and of course protein in your diet . One of Grandma’s tips is to occasionally massage your eyelashes with olive oil, or a biotin product.
As for eyelash curlers, avoid them, because you may accidentally pull some lashes, which in turn may damage the hair follicles. As I mentioned above, always remember to take off your makeup at night, because mascara especially dries out your lashes, making them dry, which makes them easier to break and fall off. It is also essential to stop the habit of rubbing the eyes, because the hairs are thin and in any clumsy movement, you can remove several.

In addition to the above-mentioned reasons that you may lose some of your eyelashes, there are also the following causes. If you see that the problem persists and is serious, contact a doctor. In each case there is also the appropriate medication.

Burns: In cases where for some reason the eyelashes are burned but the hair follicles remain intact, then it will take about 6 weeks to grow again. Unfortunately, if the hair follicle is damaged, your eyelashes may not grow back.

Chemotherapy: The drugs given during chemotherapy, most of the time, cause hair fall, which means that body hair, hair, eyebrows and eyelashes fall off. When you stop taking these medications and stop chemotherapy, your eyelashes and all your body hair will probably come back and be thicker than before.

Eyelash cutting: this is not something that happens very often, thankfully. But if you are “playing” with your kids, your sister or in general you have the idea to cut your eyelashes yourself, let me tell you that although it usually takes time, they grow back to their original length.

Thyroid problem: A major problem caused by the thyroid gland is hair loss. Eyelash loss can occur with both hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) and hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid). Eyelashes usually start to grow back after the thyroid imbalance is treated.

False eyelashes: Eyelash extensions, are fibers glued onto natural lashes that are used to create thicker and longer lashes. Many times, this tactic, if not done correctly, can damage your natural lashes. Don’t worry though, they will grow normally again in a few months.

Gyroid Alopecia: An autoimmune condition in which the body’s immune system attacks the hair follicle, which causes a fall on both the scalp, eyebrows and eyelashes. If you find that you have this, you should contact your doctor to give you drug treatment.

Trichotillomania: What is it? This is a psychological disorder of people who feel better by pulling and removing their hair. It is common in hairs of other areas, but that does not mean that it is not often done on the eyelashes. Once you stop this urge, your eyelashes will grow back after a few months.
