The Interdepartmental Market Control Unit (DII.M.E.A.) of the Ministry of Development and Investment, carries out daily checks on the prices of goods. In cases where there are phenomena of obscenity, it intervenes by imposing the fines provided for by the legislation in force.
In particular, our Service carries out checks in multiple areas for the phenomena of obscenity.
Such as: flour mills, fruit and vegetables, fuels, meat, supermarkets as well as the selling prices of protective masks and COVID-19 coronavirus detection tests.
Our inspections so far have resulted in fines amounting to hundreds of thousands of euros.
Checks are ongoing and are in progress at all stages of handling, marketing and service provision, the results of which, once completed, will be communicated to you in the near future.
