The online submission of applications for the admission of students to the Vocational Schools (EPAS) of the OAED for the school year 2021-22, in 33 specialties with high demand in the labor market, has started. Online applications can be submitted until 15 September.
Those born in the years 1998-2006 and holding at least a High School Diploma are eligible to apply. Applications are submitted exclusively online via the

The OAED has been implementing the Apprenticeship system since 1952, which is the only western system in our country that combines theoretical and laboratory vocational training at school with practical training in real working conditions (on-the-job-training). The aim is to provide the trainee with the necessary theoretical knowledge and professional experience in the labour market. In the morning, the students of the VET schools carry out an apprenticeship in private or public sector companies in positions related to their specialisation, while in the afternoon they attend theoretical and laboratory courses at the school.
The students are paid €21.78 for each day of the traineeship for 2 years (four semesters). There are 50 Apprenticeship Training Schools of the OAED nationwide offering studies in 33 specialties.
The students of the Apprenticeship Schools of the OAED:
– Do an internship with pay and insurance
– They study in modern and fully equipped laboratories
– They are provided with the necessary books and aids
– Trained by experienced and well-trained teaching staff
– Entitled to up to 30 days paid study leave
– Eligible for deferred conscription
– Those who qualify receive a housing and food allowance.
