Hairprof: Greek Junior Hairdressing Awards 2022

The biggest competition for Hairdressing & Barbering students in Greece.

The Junior Hairdressing Awards 2022 competition is for female hairdressing students.

The Greek Junior Ha irdresser of the Year 2022 will be selected through the Junior Hairdressing Awards 2022 competition.
The Junior Barber Awards 2022 competition is for male student hairstyles.
The Greek Junior Barber of the Year 2022 will be selected through the Junior Barber Awards 2022 competition.

The competition is open to students from schools all over Greece and Cyprus, IEKs, EPALs, PRIVATE SCHOOLS, etc.
while its topics are drawn from the daily curriculum of the schools in hairdressing and hairstyling.

The Greek Junior Hairdressing Awards & Greek Junior Barber Awards 2022 ,
will take place on Saturday 1 October 2022.

The biggest distinction for hairdressing students in Greece!

For the fifth consecutive year, the Greek Junior Hairdresser of the Year will be awarded in the context of the unique
HAIRPROF Professional Hair Salon Exhibition.

The Greek Junior Hairdressing Awards 2022 competition consists of three independent themes with separate prizes
for the 1st , 2nd & 3rd winner of each theme.
Through the Greek Junior Hairdressing Awards 2022 competition, the Greek Junior Hairdresser of the Year 2022 will be announced.

Conditions to compete for the title of Greek Junior Hairdresser of the Year 2022:

1) You must be a student of schools, IEK, EPAL, PRIVATE or PUBLIC SCHOOLS, etc.
2) Participate in at least two of the three themes of the Greek Junior Hairdressing Awards 2022 competition.
(If someone wishes to participate in all three subjects, his/her total score will be
from the two higher scoring subjects).

Anyone can participate in only one of the themes of the Greek Junior Hairdressing Awards 2022,
but will not be able to claim the title of Greek Junior Hairdresser of the Year 2022 if he/she does not participate in at least 2 subjects.
If you take all three questions, the two with the highest marks will be counted .

Attention

In the backstage area there are neither mirrors nor electrical outlets.
There is one supply per contestant in the competition area and only one device can be used at a time.
The use of a stand to support the doll is not mandatory, a tall, regular stand with a tripod or bench support is recommended.

Competition topics

ISSUE 1: Classical Base for CHIGNON (ball on a dummy)

Contestants arrive at the competition site at the places drawn with their doll.
Their doll’s hair should be straight and not curly or prepared in any way.
Otherwise, therefore, penalty points will be imposed.

The hairstyle should represent the style of a classic chignon (ball) base.
The doll’s hair should be well-arranged, smooth and with the right volume.

All tools are allowed.

Only monochromes are allowed.
Green-yellow-blue colors are not allowed, as well as neon, glitter or spray paint colors.

No props of any kind (bobbin, fillets, etc.) are allowed.
All types of products are allowed.
Ornaments are allowed in 15% of the total hairstyle.

Subject Time: 40 Minutes.
An extra 3 minutes will be given for dressing the doll for those who wish to do so.

ISSUE 2: Star Portrait (on a model)

Four famous celebrities who always impress with their appearances.

The purpose is to copy in the hairstyle.
The overall image of the model’s hair, make-up and styling will play a role in the scoring.

Contestants arrive at the competition site at the places drawn with their model .

The model’s hair can be prepared e.g. blow dryer, roller, but also iron.
Under no circumstances can they be brushed, creped and layered.
If this happens, penalty points will be imposed.

All tools are allowed.

Braids of the same colour can be used but cannot be prepared in advance.
Monochromes or dichromes are allowed.
No green, blue, yellow, glitter or spray paint allowed.
All products are allowed.
Tweezers or hairpins are allowed, no hair ornaments or hairpieces are allowed.

Topic Time: 40 minutes.

THEME 3: Frame (on a doll)

The contestants arrive at the competition area with their dolls in the place they have been drawn.
The doll will be wet and combed backwards.

The length of the doll before cutting should be at least 4cm below the base of the doll’s neck.
Otherwise therefore penalty points will be awarded.

Comments:

The use of a stand to support the doll is not mandatory, but it is recommended (tall, regular with tripod).
A toilet seat can also be used.

The haircut is a classic frame.
After the haircut the length of the doll should be at least halfway up the neck.
The haircut can have a central parting or side parting.
Bangs are allowed.
No filtering or scaling of any kind is allowed.
The sides are allowed to be a little longer than the back if you wish.
Shaving the doll’s hair at any point is prohibited.

All cutting and combing tools are allowed.
But the tumours must therefore be natural.

Monochromes are allowed.
The colours green, blue and yellow as well as neon, spray paint or glitter are not allowed.
It is forbidden to paint the skin of the doll.

In addition, all kinds of products are allowed.

The judges will be asked to judge the general appearance of haircut, hairstyle and colour.
The judges should be able to see the hairstyle and the top of the hairstyle together.
Otherwise, there will therefore be penalty points.

Topic Time: 45 minutes.

Greek Junior Barber of the Year 2022

In the context of the unique Professional Hair Salon Exhibition HAIRPROF, for the fifth consecutive year, the Greek Junior Barber of the Year 2022 will be announced.

The Greek Junior Barber Awards 2022 competition consists of two independent themes with separate prizes for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd winner of each theme.

Through the Greek Junior Barber Awards 2021competition, the Greek Junior Barber of the Year 2022 will be announced.

So, the conditions to claim the title of Greek Junior Barber of the Year 2022:

1) You must be a student of schools, IEK, EPAL, PRIVATE or PUBLIC SCHOOLS, etc.
2) Participate in both themes of the Greek Junior Barber Awards 2022 competition.

Anyone can participate in only one of the themes of the Greek Junior Barber Awards 2022,
but he will not be able to claim the title of Greek Junior Barber of the Year 2022 if he does not participate in both subjects.

Competition topics

In order to win the title GREEK JUNIOR BARBER OF THE YEAR you will have to take part in both subjects and for the convenience of the competing Junior Barbers, the first subject our students will compete in will be Old School Haircutting,
so that the same model can be used in Free Modern Haircut.

Contestants arrive at the competition area with their model and head to the area where they have been drawn.
The upper part of the model’s hair in all subjects must be wet and without product.

The models will be checked by the set committee and hair wetting will be performed if necessary.
Before and at the end of the competition the judges will enter the competition area.

Models must look straight ahead in their mirror or penalty points will be awarded.
Also the dress should be in line with the philosophy of each theme.

In all subjects, at the top of the scalp the hair should be 6 cm long,
while on the side and back of the scalp, have a length of at least 3 cm.
Therefore, if the lengths do not comply with the rules, penalty points will be awarded to each competitor.

The time limit for all subjects will be 45 minutes from the start of the competition.

Tools allowed are all scissors, razors and any kind of clippers.
Also allowed are all combing tools, for example presses, hair dryers, brushes.
Any combing product or any semi-permanent colouring is allowed before the start of the competition.
Chromolac, colouring sprays, coloring sprays, hieroglyphics and coloring powders are prohibited.

1ο Topic: Old School Haircut

In the OLD SCHOOL category, the model of the contestant must have before the start of the competition,
hair length on the upper part of the scalp at least 6 cm and on the sides and back of the scalp at least 3 cm.

The haircuts will be directed and should give an image, in the philosophy of that era, 1940s to 1980s.

All haircutting and styling tools, all types of products are allowed except for chromolac, colouring sprays,
coloring powders and airbrushes.

Topic time: 45 minutes.

Theme 2: Free Modern Haircut (on model)

Free imagination category to create eccentric or harmonious free lines,
shapes, textures and styling with the only condition at the start of the competition being the length of the upper part of the scalp.
not less than 6 cm and also the side and back of the scalp not less than 3 cm.

All haircutting and styling tools, all types of products are allowed except for chromolac, colouring sprays,
coloring powders and airbrushes.

Topic time: 45 minutes.
