Eight ways to boost your psychology depending on the time you have available

There is good news and bad news. The bad news is that we can never rule out that something will happen that will spoil our mood. The good news is that we can relax again, easily and quickly.

Do you want to improve your psychology and mood? Here are eight ways that will make you feel better depending on how much time you have at any given time!

If you have 1 minute

  • Smile. Research has shown that this movement of the facial muscles increases the flow of joy-inducing hormones in the brain.
  • Have some chocolate. Not only is it delicious, but it also makes us feel happy.
  • Put a flower in the vase. Flowers instantly boost our mood. Research from Harvard University has shown that we have more well-being throughout the day when we see flowers when we wake up.

If you have 5 minutes

  • Wear something red. According to research from the American Psychological Association, the colour red makes women more attractive and boosts their self-confidence. This boost might be just what you need to feel better!
  • Play with your dog. A cuddle with the dog reduces stress and increases happiness levels. Don’t you have a dog? No problem! According to research from the University of Michigan School of Nursing, a happy friend has the same effect!
  • He achieved a goal. According to research from Ohio University, people who set goals feel good about themselves and life. Set a small goal, even if it is to put the crumpled paper in the waste basket by throwing it away. It won’t change the world for the better, but you will feel a mini burst of confidence!

If you have 30 minutes

  • Grab the needles. Research published in the Journal of Nursing Scholarship found that arts and crafts helped people caring for relatives with cancer to relax. If you don’t know how to knit, you can try painting.
