Dynamic presence of L’Oréal Hellas at the Thessaloniki International Fair 2023

H L’Oréal Hellas, true to its commitment to the values of equality and inclusion, supported the Inclusivity Lounge
organized by Women On Top at the Thessaloniki International Fair, actively contributing to the
in a meaningful dialogue on gender equality and inclusion issues.

In this context, on Friday, 15 September, Ms Dimitra Petridi,
Corporate Affairs & Engagement Director L’Oréal Hellas and Ms. Maria Korali, General Manager L’Oréal Professional Products participated in the Inclusivity Lounge “Health in Unequal Times” and spoke
on the values of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the corporate environment.

This year, for the first time, the Inclusivity Lounge was accompanied by the parallel event
StandUp Against Street Harassment by L’Oreal Paris.
A workshop organised by W.I.N Hellas on protection against harassment in public space.
The workshop was presented by Mrs. Niki Mantsiou, Head of Organization & Programme and
Ms. Vasiliki Liafu, psychologist & Head of the Scientific Team of the Organization.

The Workshop opened with a discussion by Ms Dimitra Petridi, referring to the values of diversity and inclusiveness that are at the core of L’Oréal‘s culture, stressing that they start with
by the company’s leadership and its people.

He then referred to the internal actions that L’Oréal Hellas carries out, coordinating regular training sessions
managers, team leaders and new employees in inclusive culture.
Furthermore, he stressed the multifaceted action of L’Oréal Hellas ‘ brands and the numerous programmes that it carries out with the aim of,
a strong social footprint.

“Women & Mental Health: The Changing Puzzle”

Ms. Maria Korali, General Manager of L’Oréal Professional Products participated with
Marina Economou-Lalioti, Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry, University of Athens Medical School
on the panel: “Women & Mental Health: The Changing Puzzle”.
The discussion was moderated by Ms Stella Kasdagli, co-founder of Women On Top.

Ms. Korali underlined the essential impact that care and nurturing has on mental health,
both for the beauty professionals who offer it and for those who accept it.
In this context, he referred to two important actions, the Social Hairdresser‘s initiative
giving access to basic care services to vulnerable groups of people, without segregation,
as well as the Head Up programme which aims to raise awareness and empower the hairdressing community
on mental health issues.

“Beauty, in the sense of care and grooming, is extremely important for mental health. When we are left in the hands of a beauty professional, such as a hairdresser, we feel acceptance and respect for our uniqueness. The contact and connection through this care is empowering. That’s why at L’Oréal Professional Products we believe that access to basic beauty services is not a luxury but a right for every person.”
