The hands are a part of the body that we leave somewhat neglected. We don’t take care of them the way we should. We pay more attention to the skin on our face, following our skincare routine, but also all over our body.
But we forget about the hands.
And, as you can see, this is wrong! Because hands – especially in winter and in conditions of coronavirus – need intensive care. You see, they suffer a lot from antiseptics and frequent washing, which is now required because of Covid-19, and also from the low temperatures. Yes! The winter, the cold air and the snow (which we enjoyed more than anything else in Athens a while ago), have resulted in our hands getting chapped and dry and rough.
So what should you do? Take good care of them and more. No, it’s not enough to put on hand cream every time you remember. You should occasionally do a hand mask to moisturise and nourish the skin in this area. That’s why we are here…to help you, to encourage you and to suggest the easiest, quickest and most fragrant mask recipe for beautiful hands.
You can make it yourself in five minutes.
You will need:
3 tablespoons of oats
2 tablespoons of non-alcoholic rose water
2 tablespoons of almond oil
Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend them well until they become a paste. Then fill a pot with boiling water, place a metal bowl over the pot and pour the hand mask into it to warm it up slightly. Do, that is, the so-called ben-mari.
Apply the DIY mask to your hands and then wrap them with a towel. Once the mask has cooled on your hands, it means it’s time to remove it. So wash your hands, apply moisturizer and enjoy the wonderful and soft skin that you have taken care of yourself.
