Before we say what Brazilian Keratin does, let’s say what keratin is and what it does on the hair.
Horn is a type of protein with a high sulphur and cystine content,
an amino acid that makes it durable, speculative and insoluble.
It is the basic protective substance of hair, skin and nails.
How does it work?
Initially the unique biopolymer component is essentially a “liquid form of hair”
that gently blends with the hair on your head, both inside and outside.
It also gives the hair ingredients that were missing from the beginning and that have been lost over time.
The smaller keratin molecules penetrate the cortex of the hair improving and repairing the quality from the inside.
The stratum corneum therefore fills the gaps between the cuticle and the hair shaft
and then sealing is achieved with a high heat iron.
In this way, curls are reduced and strength and elasticity are added,
while at the same time achieving strengthening as the added weight of the horn smoothes and tames the curls.
