Anime is a term used for cartoon and comic book characters with strange, exotic or simply undefined hairstyles.

The reasons are obvious, colored hair is much nicer than the usual haircuts you see on real people. Another point is that the character definitely stands out from the crowd.

Another basic reason is simple, if some did it, others were copied. All of this ended up becoming a trend.
Usually, the most important characters in the story will have wild spikes or a sleek hairstyle to stand out in the crowd.
It also helps to create a distinctive silhouette that will stand out in branding, media and merchandise.
It can be one or more different colours that do not appear naturally on real people (blue is a popular choice).
Sometimes the hair looks translucent, with the character’s eyes visible through it, though this is supposed to represent the hair well enough that it’s not completely dark, rather than anything outrageous.

The style of braids and pigtails represents the childishness generally used by most anime.
Male ponytails have a historical background in the Samurai era.
Short hair – Female characters who have short hair are usually girl-boys who generally adopt a masculine role that involves action, combat and even science.
Short sparkling hair – Often used to indicate characters who are gangsters or involved in the mafia.
Spiral hair – These characters have hair coils that look like partial or full drills or have side strands that look like mini drills.

Abroad but now also in Greece, the anime trend has got many fans both in hair and clothes.
Young people in Japan undoubtedly have the reputation of being the best-dressed people on the planet, with their style influencing Europe and America. With a look inspired by popular cartoons.
