1. Take a self-care trip

Even if you’re not feeling particularly stressed, devoting weekends to small self-care escapes can help you disconnect, relax and rejuvenate. Travel need not be expensive. You can simply drive to the next town to see the sights or go nature camping near your home. The goal is to get away from your normal schedule and take time to do something just for yourself.

2. Take a self-care break and go out

Spending time away from home (despite the lockdown) can help reduce your stress and blood pressure, and will certainly help you live in the moment. Studies have shown that fresh air can be an important aid in reducing fatigue and is an excellent way to overcome symptoms of depression or exhaustion. Pets can give your life a boost. Providing companionship, play and unconditional love, pets can be your allies on your journey to self-care. Dogs in particular can help reduce stress and feelings of anxiety and can even reduce blood pressure. In fact, many people suffering from disorders such as PTSD have benefited from daily contact with animals.
