What are the 4 basic wishes of a professional hairdresser
He’s probably a friend, probably a confidant, but one thing is for sure.
Hairdressers always have a goal.
No matter how many hours it takes, you will always, but always leave the salon with a smile.
But do you know what your hairdresser wants?
So impress your hairdresser by following these simple tips that I will give you.
TIP 1
Try not to cancel appointments at the last minute.
Always respect your stylist’s time and arrive on time.
If you find it impossible to go to an appointment, take a look at the cancellation policy of each salon
and make sure you update in time.
Also know that patience is key and waiting time can be part of the process at the salon.
A hair appointment should be treated on par with a doctor’s appointment.
What is the difference? An appointment is an appointment.
Very often there can be a delay on the part of the hairdressers but this is because the previous appointment
was not on time, or because an extra technique is needed in the technical part which was not on the programme.
TIP 2
Don’t speak ill of your previous hairdresser.
You may not like the result, but mistakes are human.
Most of us when we talk we look left and right, but when your hairdresser braids babylights that’s a technical
in great detail don’t shake your head back and forth. Or when he gives you a precision haircut you have to stand still.
You know we love you as much as you do but don’t put us under pressure to put you in between another date,
“COME ON WHERE YOU WILL LOSE ME”, the other client is no more my friend than you…
You need to understand what the importance of dating is.
Last-minute calls can eat up the phone and void.
TIP 3
Have you decided to change your style?
Please have done your research.
If you bring a photo make sure you hear what I have to say about backstage.
For example, most balayage photos are with some kind of wave and this gives the illusion of a ribbon effect,
the same colour can look completely different when it is straight.
Usually when you want a major color change it is advisable to make a consultation appointment first,
so that we can discuss what the positives and negatives are.
You need to be clear about the kind of change you want, especially when it is a drastic change.
We hairdressers are hard-working artists where we face multiple tasks every day.
Be patient with your stylist and always treat them with respect.
There is no right or wrong, only what is right for you and your needs.
What is your need…. let us discover it…
With love,
Elizabeth Makri
