Gyms open today, after 7 months of continuous lockdown. As expected, the use of masks is required for all attendees inside the gym, attendance is by appointment and the maximum number of customers is only 1 person per 10 sqm. The instruments are frequently disinfected and it is necessary for workers to have regular self-tests.

And now that we are insured in terms of our health in the field, let’s take care of the health of our hair. First of all, even in the gym we are required to be beautiful. How many times have you been in the gym and your hair is a nuisance?
A friend once told me that she ruined her hair at the gym…. I didn’t believe her, but it turns out she was right. You know what you should avoid so you don’t ruin it yourself?

Do you want well-groomed hair at the gym?
Yes! Because if you have well-groomed hair, you automatically look more beautiful. And even in the gym, you have to be special! First of all, as you can see, it is not ideal to have curls or hair in front of your face. It is ideal to grab your hair at the top of your head so that it doesn’t bother you and so that sweat doesn’t run down the length of your hair. It is important that the braid is loose, as if the hair is not stuck to your head, it will not be affected to a great extent. It is also good to have with you, a dry shampoo, a scented half and a brush. This way your hair will look fresh and smell like flowers, fruit or whatever you want. Finally, brushing will make them soft and help you leave there with a refreshing hairstyle, such as a ponytail or a braid.

5 mistakes you make and you don’t realize it, but they ruin your hair!!!

1.The most common hairstyle when you go to the gym is the ponytail… and rightly so, as it’s easy, practical and comfortable, keeping your hair away from your face. But be careful not to grip the braid too tightly, because this is not only a headache, but it also damages the roots of your hair.

2.Over time, if you pull your hair by grabbing it in the same spot every time, you unwittingly cause damage to the hair follicles. Put your imagination to work and try different braids and hairstyles, e.g. braid, low braid, side part, half-half, half-half, high meatball… etc.

3. I’m sure that if it does the job of removing hair from your face, you think it’s the perfect elastic band. But no. Many times any rubber band can cut the hair and generally catch your hair awkwardly or with the wrong pressure. Try a scrunchie elastic band that will properly distribute the pressure around your ponytail, keeping the hair firmly tied up without causing any discomfort or one of the special headbands that are available on the market that absorb sweat instantly, protecting the roots from grease.

4. You are in a hurry to leave the gym and wash your hair with water only. Wanting to untangle them, you rinse them with a little conditioner, thinking that since they untangle easily, everything is fine. But no!!! First of all, the minerals in the sweat reach from the roots to the tips. Also, water alone can dehydrate the hair and combined with conditioner that should be put on clean hair, the hair can become overloaded and often break.

5. We said you should have a brush with you to detangle your hair if you need to.
But do you know that this should not be done on wet hair, because it breaks and destroys it? You know this and because you know this, you detangle your hair before you take a bath. Right? Perfect. And avoid the stiff towels for drying… and all is well.
