To have or to be?
A very pertinent question but also a trap.
We were given a favour and we earned a place here in this world.
The question is, how do we take advantage of it?
Every day we chase the “have” because we have a foolish belief that we will take all our “haves” with us on the boat across.
Every day the ego of “I want that too” is overcome because “that’s the only way I can be happy”.
But is it really what you desire?
No!
And you know why?
Because once you have the next one you “have” your joy lasts for a while.
Very little.
And then you sink again into the melancholy of the next “goal”. And over and over again, the same thing and the same thing. You pursue happiness through material goods, through objects, through utopian acquisitions.
The more you get, the more you grieve.
You want to have it all.
Something that will never happen, because others are worthy beyond your huge ego.
You won’t get everything.
And here I ask you.
Wouldn’t you rather be…
Maybe you should be single for a start? Free from everything that clamps your evolution like a vise.
Anything that distracts you from your goal.
What are your goals?
Or life of course!
Life through love, interaction, daily friction with people.
Be the one who fills the souls of others with joy.
Be love.
Be independent.
Be giving.
Be an advisor.
Be happy from these small moments of happiness.
Become what you want to be.
Become the person you want others to see.
Be honest, be open, be authentic.
Be the one who will be loved for who you are and not for who you pretend to be.
Look how many you can be?
So do you want to have or be?
