Hairdresser in Chania served customers without an appointment and the owner is asked to pay a fine of 1,000 euros!
It is noted that in the last 24 hours in Crete, there were 1,612 checks for violations of measures against coronavirus.
In Heraklion, there were 9 offences related to the restriction of movement.
While fines for not wearing a mask were imposed on one person in Rethymno and one in Lassithi.
However, apart from the hairdressing salon, the other infringements concerned the non-use of masks, either on customers or employees.
And all this while we are still waiting for clarifications on what was announced on Tuesday on the new measures to be implemented for the unvaccinated population in order to ensure public health.
The latest with coronavirus
It is recalled that today Pfizer and BioNTech have submitted an application for a third booster dose of the coronavirus vaccine to the US regulatory authority.
Also today, speaking on the First Programme 91,6 and 105,8, the Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the National Academy of Sciences, Nikos Thomaidis, estimated that:
“With the return of the August holidaymakers, there will be a further spread of the pandemic in Attica, which may peak between 16 and 20 September, and will put pressure on the health system of the basin.”
In particular, he stressed that if vaccinations are intensified, we will not reach 10,000 cases per day, as many scientists predict:
“If we get vaccinated, there is a good chance we won’t see these numbers in September and October. But if we don’t vaccinate, it’s very likely we’ll see this wave. Either we get vaccinated or we get sick. There is nothing else.”
