Relaxing lockdown ahead of Easter!!!!

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced new, more relaxed measures, in his regular briefing on the coronavirus, which will take effect from the Easter period and will slowly allow us to return to normality.

Catering opens, curfew changes for Holy Week, we move out of county and schools open!!!
Specific dates announced for everything!!

Specifically, the Prime Minister referred to the difficult conditions we are experiencing due to the coronavirus pandemic, asking citizens to be patient and soon we will return to normality.
“Next to us we have new allies in vaccines, self-testing and better weather.”

The measures announced are,

Outdoor catering opening on 3 May

Curfew on Holy Week from 22:00 instead of the current 21:00

Curfew from Easter Monday from 23:00

Moving out of the county from 14 May

Tourism opens from 15 May

Schools open from 10 May

Easter may be a bit more relaxed than last year’s Easter. However, although travel outside the prefecture is prohibited, the timetables for the start of the curfew are changed to facilitate the believers.
On Holy Week the curfew starts at 10pm instead of 9pm today and from Easter Monday the curfew starts at 11am.

For Easter Sunday and the festive table, up to 9 people from 2 families are allowed to gather indoors and up to 12 people outdoors.
