How important is cleanliness and organization for our salon or beauty area?

The intense flow of work on a daily basis within a salon often brings organization to a back seat.
What we will see today in this hairdressing news article , is how important it is to our work,
the efficiency, the atmosphere within the salon and the relationship between employees.

Employee relations

Often the lack of organisation leads to constant conflicts between the employees .
These concern who will take care of the organisation of each space, the products and even the cleaning.

The main reason they are created is none other than the time pressure that exists and is faced, for example, by a hairdresser at the time he has to serve a customer and there is a shortage of a product he needs, he can’t find a tool, such as a blow dryer, or even the area he wants to use is not clean
so that the client can be served.

Efficiency

When a salon is organized, then efficiency increases dramatically.
In other words, each employee can perform tasks in less time.
This means that it works more efficiently.
At the same time, it also implies lower costs for the company.

Certainly, it is not feasible one person takes over the complete organization, order & cleanliness of all the countries of the salon.
Unless he has been entrusted with this task alone.
Otherwise, the organization & order will be distributed equally to all team members.
A good way to do this is to have rules that we can set and that everyone can follow.

Rules and procedures are all those “When…then…” in every salon.
For example, when I have time between appointments , I “walk” through the salon
to tidy up and clean up what needs tidying up.
When I perform a colouring technique , I wash the bowl immediately afterwards.
So keep in mind that all the “when…. then….” of the salon create a sense of fairness
between the team and provide better service to customers.

Salon atmosphere

A well-organized and clean hairdressing salon certainly exudes a pleasant atmosphere for every client or every visitor to the place. So organisation, apart from its functional role, is also a part of marketing, if we can put it that way. That is, it can either turn away one of our clients or turn a new client into a permanent client.

Conclusion

As much as every salon owner thinks that the organization comes second
in the priorities of a salon, this is not the case.
It is number one.
