You might be inspired by the movie we used to watch in the 90s.
A few words about the film.
One of our favorite movies, which we used to watch at Christmas.
Scissorhands is a fantasy film directed by Tim Burton in collaboration with Caroline Thompson,
starring Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder, where they were actually a couple.
HISTORY OF EDUART
Scissorhands was created by a scientist who was inspired to turn a vegetable cutting machine into a human being.
After teaching him Savoir Vivre, she taught him to read poetry, to smile and to have feelings.
Unfortunately, he did not have time to give him human hands.
For many years he lives alone in a tower until Peg finds him and takes him with her to help him.
Suddenly he is among people, trying to fit into their small society despite his difference.
He falls in love with Peggy’s daughter Kim who wants so much to hug her but is afraid of hurting her.
The author’s inspiration has come from his own sketching as a child, as well as from himself.
Tim was a person who didn’t talk much to people, he is a character who is closed and different from others,
antisocial I would say, just like Edward in the movie of the same name.
Edward’s inability to connect with the world around him lies mainly in his difference, the scissors he has instead of hands.
The importance of this characteristic that has a different dimension and shows us that,
even diversity can inspire you to beautiful creations like making special gardens and later fashion in hair.
Edward transforms first pets and then housewives into beautiful women by creating artwork on their heads.
Thus closes the tale of the scissor-hand, a non-human indeed, who with his beautiful story approaches
the more “human” aspects of existence.
Diversity, inspiration, loneliness, loneliness, creation, fear, loss and finally love…
Feel free to identify yourself….
Yours sincerely,
Elizabeth Makri
