Rest during work? Learn how! hairdressing news mycitycoach natalie_lifecoach

If you feel overly tired when you’re working, don’t be disappointed.
I know you’re thinking about the weekend, vacation and holidays, but there’s no need for that.
Because there are ways to rest… even at work!
And I’ll tell you how right below!

What does “rest” mean…

Resting means recovering my strength, getting rid of physical and emotional tiredness or mental fatigue.
So focus your attention where your body needs it most.
Be aware of what you are feeling and depending on your type of fatigue, try the following exercises.

Exercise 1. Opposing activity.

When you understand the kind of fatigue you are feeling, pause from what is tiring you and switch to a different mode.
For example, if you are tired of standing, sit down and read an article or a passage from a book
(change from physical work to mental process).
If you are tired of stressful thoughts, consciously stop the persistent thoughts for a while and go for a short walk
or stretch (change from emotional to physical energy).

Exercise 2. Holidays in everyday life!

Find something that brings you joy in your everyday life.
Even something small.
For example, you might like to drink coffee or listen to music.
When you’re at work, take a five-minute break and focus entirely on this activity.
Imagine that there is nothing else around you.
Just you and e.g. the coffee/song. Try to experience it with all your senses.

Exercise 3. Mindfulness (Mindfulness)

Notice what you are feeling and experiencing in your work at a given moment.
Consciously focus your attention on what you see and hear around you, how your body feels, what smells are there.
Spend just a few minutes on this exercise and you will see that your self-awareness increases and your day becomes more “colourful“.

Which exercise did you like best of all?
Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

With love,
Natalia.
