People Management Roles of a Hair Salon

In this Salon Proactive article we will analyze the People Management Roles of a Salon,
and the categories into which they are divided.

Our Professional Personality

Each and every one of us has a different professional personality.
The professional personality is the set of our character preferences in relation to
how we choose to communicate, make decisions, evaluate the events around us and behave.
For example, some people prefer to organise their time in great detail, while others prefer to
leave room for easier adjustment to the flow of events.
Some people prefer to think long before making a decision, while others prefer quick and immediate solutions.
The diversity of personalities within a group is also what helps in assigning roles.
The assignment of roles should be commensurate with the personality of each team member.
That is, to suit the strengths and preferences of each individual.

The Networked

They are the ones who bring information to the market.
They are outgoing and sociable.
They like to gather information by talking to a lot of people.
They are enthusiastic and build the reputation of the salon to the outside world.
They are the ones who by their nature will talk about the salon, communicate with its external collaborators
store and many times they will bring customers to the site.
They know the influencers in the region and the industry, market news and changes in the local market.

The Harmonizers

They desire harmony in the team through cooperation and teamwork.
They will try to reduce the tension on those who disturb the peace.
Avoid heated discussions and friction.
The harmonizers feel that they have the responsibility to calm the spirits when they become heated.
They feel very upset when there is tension around them.
They believe that all people seek peace and find it difficult to understand that there are several people
who, by virtue of his personality, seek intense debate and confrontation
because they feel creative and productive that way.

Because of the particular professional personality that each and every one of us has, we are as individuals
quite inadequate in relation to our abilities.
So we don’t have the ability to take on all the roles that exist in a team and
to serve them at a high level.
We can only take on roles that are compatible with our personality.
For example, an introverted person cannot take on the role of the Networker or a practical person and
a little conservative cannot assume the role of the Thinker who is always thinking about innovation and change.
So the team with the different personalities that it contains completes us where we
on an individual level we cannot contribute.
It is only through the team and its proper People Management that we gain maximum strength.
