Oily hair- Treat it in 10 ways!

You who have oily hair know what problems are caused because of this.

I can tell you that oily hair is a very common phenomenon that makes it difficult, nowadays and in our rhythms, for many women, with the procedural problems that they create.

First of all, how many times do you need to bathe them? How much time should you spend a day for this purpose and after how many days do they build up their oiliness again?

There is a cause to this problem…. but also ways to deal with it!!!!

Cause of oiliness

Oily hair is directly related to the sebaceous glands, which are located on our skin, next to the hair follicles. Their usefulness is to produce, as their name suggests, oily sebum, thus protecting the skin from microorganisms and germs. So the solution to not having oily hair is to limit the amount of sebum produced!!

In what way?

1.The first mistake you make that you shouldn’t make is that you wash your face every day. According to experts, daily shampooing is not recommended, because the more you shampoo, the more you remove the hair’s natural oils, pushing the sebaceous glands to produce more sebum. Try, just because you have oily hair, to wash your hair at most 3,4 times a week.

2.Your shampoo should not be a shampoo that gives shine and hydration. Because these shampoos have certain oils that make your hair greasy. Ask your pharmacist or hairdresser for the ideal shampoo for your specific situation. It definitely has to be a natural shampoo.

If you want, there is also the option to make it yourself.
Get 50ml of coconut milk, 80ml of liquid Castile soap, 1 teaspoon of vitamin A (fat soluble) and 5-10ml depending on how strong you want the smell to be, mint, lavender, orange… or whatever you can think of. Add all this to a small bottle and your shampoo is ready.

3. The temperature of the water has its importance. Try to wash with cold water or lukewarm water. Hot water irritates your skin by causing the sebaceous glands to produce more sebum.

4.Include in your diet, either through medication or through specific foods, vitamin A, which is fat-soluble. Make sure you eat carrot, spinach, zucchini, vegetables, sweet potato, liver, seafood on a daily basis. If you opt for medication, don’t forget to have your liver analysed once a month. We don’t want to fix something and create a problem elsewhere.

5.Avoid eating fatty foods, since the increased fat is channeled throughout the body, specifically to the sebaceous glands.

6. If you touch your hair all the time, the germs and grease from your hands go straight there. We don’t want that.

7. Change your pillowcase often to protect your hair from dirt and grease.

8. Find a nice color, dye your hair and magically you will see that the dye has reduced the grease from your roots.

9. Don’t use a dirty brush and don’t rub your hair with stiff towels.

10. Emollient cream, someone with oily hair does not often put. Limit this habit to once a week.
