Oily hair: See 4+1 tips for dealing with them

Oily hair afflicts a large percentage of people.

But why does this happen and how do we deal with it?
When the sebaceous glands overreact,
produce extra sebum and the scalp can’t absorb it all,
resulting in our hair being oily.

How do we understand it?

Some of the signs that indicate that there is excessive oil production are dull, limp, volume-less hair,
that often look like they’re aloof, when they’re not.
However, the oily scalp, in addition to the aesthetic part as mentioned before,
can lead to hair loss and dandruff and then we need to treat it as soon as possible.

Causes

However, in order not to reach this point, we need to identify the causes that lead to oily hair in time and take the solution.
Some of our habits and non-habits that do not help in taking care of our scalp are daily shampooing, unhealthy diet, hormonal imbalances, constant brushing of our hair and hand holding, heredity, hot temperatures and excessive use of styling products.

Address

So how can we fix it?
That’s why we’re here to share with you 4+1 tips that will help you, as hair experts,
we have been confronted many times with oily hair.

  1. Avoid frequent bathing
The ideal frequency of washing the scalp is 2 times a week.
This is because hair behaves as we teach it.
There are, however, ways to tame them and avoid frequent bathing.
One of the most well-known ways to “brake” the shampooing and the greasiness explosion from the first day
is the use of dry shampoo and this not repeatedly during the day but also not daily,
because it can cause dry skin after a spot.
Of course, we use a special shampoo for oily hair, on the recommendation of the hairdresser or dermatologist.
  2. We exfoliate
For those who don’t know, there are special scalp scrubs that help deep cleanse and soothe the scalp.
Once a week on wet hair we gently massage with an exfoliating product to cleanse the scalp in depth.
but also to improve blood circulation.
In this way, we get rid of unnecessary oil and our hair is healthier and shinier.
  3. Avoid conditioner at the root
The rule of thumb to avoid oily hair and other issues is to be careful
the conditioner and hair mask should be applied exclusively on the lengths and ends.
Extra tip for shiny hair, rinse the mask or conditioner with cold to lukewarm water so that your hair is shiny,
as the hot water dulls the hair.
Of course, we rinse all products very well with plenty of water.
  4. We eat a healthy diet
Eating healthily contributes significantly to the amount of oil production in the scalp and thus to not having oily hair.
So avoiding fatty substances helps a lot in reducing oiliness, both on our scalp and on our skin.
So we choose foods with low or good fats.
  5. Clean the brushes often
A tip that not many people know that should be done and integrated into our routine is brush washing .
The ideal cleaning frequency is 1 time per week and this way we remove the hairs
and the styling products on the brushes.
How do we clean them? Easy!
Simply place them in a basin with water, vinegar and optionally soap, leave them for half an hour.
and then rinse very well with plenty of water.

These are the secrets and tips we had to give you this time.
Apply these steps and in time you will see results!

With love,
Joanna and Sissy.
