I’m ashamed to be… beautiful

I’m beautiful, I know… but I don’t know if I want to show it

How does that sound? Believe me, it happens.

This can manifest itself in various forms such as: being ashamed to put on make-up, being ashamed to wear something
that will get people’s attention, I’m embarrassed to change my hair.

Think if you have noticed something similar in yourself, if you have had thoughts like “this is too much for me!“.
Or to a friend or your child.
You suggest a change in his appearance and he doesn’t even want to discuss it.

But what is happening?
Why doesn’t a girl want to feel beautiful?

Let’s see what’s really going on.

Resistance to change

A change in appearance is a change that can take us out of our comfort zone.
And so there is a resistance from our side.
I don’t just change my hair.
I suspect that other things will change.
For example, how I am seen by others, my family, my colleagues.
That I might need other clothes or accessories to match my new look or some new skincare products.

Solution.
Do an analysis and ask yourself:
What will change in my daily life with this change?
This will help you reduce the stress of the “unknown” and give you a clear picture of what to expect.

I’m afraid of the attention of others

When someone is beautiful, other people around notice it.
We are not always ready to attract the attention of others.
We don’t know how to behave when they look at us.
We are ashamed, we have learned to be humble.

Solution.
Ask him what you want:
How would I behave if no one was looking at me, if there were no people around?
What does the attention of others mean to me?
What would I like to feel when people look at me?

Insecurity. Am I doing it right?

When something is new, we don’t know if we are doing it “right”.
For example, have I applied the lipstick correctly, does the shade suit me? There are so many beauties out there, they’ll laugh at me!

Solution.
Ask people close to you for their opinion.
Search and watch video tutorials on the internet.
And, of course… ask the experts!
Whether it’s a hair salon or a cosmetics or clothing store.
Finally, listen to different people, form your opinion and follow your heart!

Good luck!

With love,
Natalia
