The image of a space is important. No matter how good your work is, with reasonable prices and great results, if the space doesn’t create the right feelings in your client, they won’t want to come back. An ideal space means the right colours, relaxed, calm lighting and of course comfortable chairs and convenient furniture.
Imagine walking into a room where the colours are so intense that they make your head hurt or cause you stress. You won’t want to stay more than five minutes.
Colours play a key role in the image of a salon and in general a place of aesthetics, beauty and tranquility. The colors we find for the decoration of our space should create feelings of relaxation, well-being and certainly emit cleanliness and calmness.
What are these colours?
If you want a large, bright space, light colours are a good choice. If you still want a warm space, consider something in beige.
According to research, the right colour on the wall and in your room in general can reduce stress levels directly. First and best, is beige, a colour that apart from calmness and warmth, gives a classy, classic image to the space. It is an earthy, neutral colour that matches almost all furniture or decorative colours.
Maybe you weren’t expecting it, but if you think of it as the colour of nature, it’s definitely a colour that can calm you down. So, green is a color that can magically eliminate your stress and relax you…you and your clients will feel like you and your clients are in a park.
You didn’t see it coming, did you? But yes. Lilac, a light purple, can create a girlish, pleasant mood. It can, in the right tone, create an incredible atmosphere for the purpose of your inner peace.
If you want to make a change, you can try a neutral grey in your space. Not the dark grey, which will make you sad when you see it… But a light grey, which with the right decorations will be able to brighten up any mood you’re in.
Blue sky, blue sea…. blue and the ideal color to calm your client from a difficult everyday life. Paint a part of your wall blue and decorate the space accordingly. You won’t lose.
Correct lighting
Proper lighting has its importance. You should have a clear and bright image of the colours and hair you are working on and your client should feel comfortable and relaxed. Create an atmospheric environment, emphasizing the aesthetics of the space. The key is to have natural light, if this is difficult there are some tips to help make your space brighter.
Mirrors and clean windows
In your salon, there are definitely mirrors. If the mirrors are in the right places, they have the unique ability to reflect light and enlarge space. Also, if the glass in your window is clean, everything looks brighter. The detail of dusty stinking windows…. if you think about it, it’s not that much of a detail, since it’s the first thing a customer sees on entering the space. So clean your windows!!!!
