DIY: Face masks with olive oil for super hydrated skin

Extra virgin olive oil is quite a popular product, as it is widely considered one of the healthiest fats for the body, thanks to its high content of essential nutrients.

This oil contains significant amounts of omega-3 fatty acids as well as vitamin E, which help prevent the signs of premature aging caused by stress. In fact, its active ingredients have been repeatedly used in the production of a wide range of cosmetic products, especially skin care products.

However, many women choose to include it in the their beauty routine in its natural form, because it is extremely easy to mix with other natural ingredients that when applied to the skin do good without causing side effects. So, since we know that many women want to make the most of the many benefits of olive oil, we want to share the recipes for interesting face masks.

1. Homemade face masks from olive oil and honey

The combination of olive oil and honey offers us a multivitamin mask that, thanks to its moisturizing ingredients, helps fight dryness and imperfections caused by toxins. Both olive oil and honey are friendly to the sensitive skin, and precisely because of their anti-inflammatory properties, they are ideal for relief of allergies and soothing of burns.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil (32 g)
  • 1 tablespoon of honey (25 g)

Execution

  • Place the olive oil and honey in a bowl and mix well until the mixture is combined.
  • Cleanse your face and apply the mask until your entire face is covered with a thin layer.
  • Leave on for 30 minutes and then rinse the area.
  • Repeat the mask 2 to 3 times a week.

2. Homemade face masks from olive oil and coconut

In this particular blend, the fatty acids of olive oil are combined with the antioxidant elements of coconut oil creating a 100% natural anti-aging mask. The nutrients in this mask help the skin to stay healthy and healthy. and at the same time act as a its protective shield against the sun’s harmful rays and free radicals.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil (32 g)
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil (15 g)

Execution

  • Combine the olive oil and coconut oil and mix well until you have a homogeneous mixture. Apply the mask to any areas of the skin you wish.
