Cucumber is not only for salad!!!!

Beauty, cucumber is not just for salad. Cucumber, small, large, whatever size it is, is ideal, among other things, for proper hydration, both internally and externally. It is also anti-inflammatory, diuretic, detoxifying and has little to no calories (32 calories – a medium size). Cucumber is 95% water and has vitamins A, B1 , C, chlorine, phosphorus, potassium and sulphur. Its peel is very beneficial for your skin and as a food it acts against rheumatism, arthritis and hypertension.
So keep at least one cucumber in your fridge, because you never know when and where it will come in handy!!

Historically, this great vegetable dates back 9,760 years ago, because since then Thailand had cucumber seeds on the walls of its caves. Also, even in ancient times, the Egyptians, the Indians, the Romans and the Greeks grew cucumbers, that is, 3,000 years ago.

Apart from your salads, you can use cucumber in a thousand other ways besides the ones mentioned above. For example, it helps in mild sunburns, cooling the skin with fresh cucumber juice accelerates the healing of the burn. Also, if you have a fever, cucumber juice quickly quenches thirst and stimulates your body.

Skin and eye rejuvenation

Don’t tell me you haven’t happened to buy a skin or eye cream that contains cucumber in it. It is one of the most common options for treating and rejuvenating your skin. Didn’t you ever catch your mom with cucumber peels on her face or in her eyes? Moms always know a little too much. They used cucumber peels to rest their eyes, dark circles and bags under the eyes.

Try the good cucumber on your face and you won’t miss!!!!

Take a cucumber from the fridge and cut two thick slices. Close your eyes, place the slices on your eyelids and relax for about 15 minutes. The high water content moisturizes, while at the same time the coolness of cold cucumber helps to constrict the blood vessels of the area, thus reducing swelling.

If grandma’s beauty secret that went to mom and comes to you is not enough for you… read on for some ideas you can make yourself.

Exfoliation with sugar and cucumber

Mash half a cucumber by adding 3 – 4 cups of sugar (you can vary the amount depending on the density you want), ½ tablespoon of olive oil and chopped mint leaves. Mix the ingredients, put in a jar and store in the fridge. Ideal for gentle exfoliation and rejuvenation of the face before make up.

Mask for glowing skin

Mash a cucumber in a blender and add 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and ¼ cup of aloe vera gel until it becomes a smooth cream. Apply to your face and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with water. If you want to vary it a bit, you can put the mask in an ice cube tray, freeze it and keep it for whenever you need it. It rejuvenates the skin and gives shine to the skin.

Moisturizing mask

Mix a tablespoon of oats with a cucumber that you have peeled and mashed first. Leave it for a few hours at room temperature so that the oats absorb the juice and become a thick mixture. Apply to your face and leave it there for at least 20 minutes. You will immediately feel your skin soft and hydrated.

It’s good for your feet too!

Put 2 cucumbers, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a blender until pureed. Heat the mixture gently and dip your feet in it, rubbing them lightly. Leave them for 5-10 minutes and rinse with warm water. Cucumber revitalizes tired feet, lemon helps exfoliate and olive oil deeply moisturizes.
