Cretan Pageant from the Angela Euripides
I belong to the models of that era who were highlighted through the Greek beauty pageants in one night.
Even though I started modeling almost 3 years before my pageant, I think that the emergence of my name
was clearly made by this institution and then by my effort and professionalism.
Unfortunately, the years have passed and the glamour of the pageants, for some reason… lost.
Star and Miss Hellas have ceased to exist, at least on television.
One year was also done via the internet with the emergence of Iliana Papageorgiou.
So after many years, I attended as a guest and as a partner of
KYANA
,
which was the gold sponsor of the event, at the Cretan Pageant held in Heraklion, Crete.
The institution and the proper conduct
I was really surprised at the sight of this particular institution!
That’s because I had no idea how well set up they were by the organization or even better how important they were,
since I had never watched them.
This year, due to the pandemic, they were not held in a large venue with an infinite number of people,
on the contrary, the guests were counted and all the necessary protective measures were observed
to deal with the pandemic and in particular to carry out rapid tests to ensure the full security of the event.
The Cretans are famous for their hospitality and kindness.
I can therefore say that the professionalism and the effort they put in for a perfect result are equally important.
The scenery is impressive! Also, excellent lights, lavish decorations and the contestants’ dresses so spectacular
that had nothing to envy from the beauty pageants abroad!
The jury
The jury of the Cretan Pageant is composed of experts, but also of those who have been supporting this institution for years with their presence and their good grades. The evening of the 41st Pancretan beauty contest started with the 17 beautiful girls going up on the specially designed stage of the
Galea Live
with the audience erupting in applause.
Presenter of the evening was Miss Crete 2006 Eleftheria -Dimitra Sokianou while they went on stage
Georgina Alexakis and Manos Markopoulos, taking the audience on a journey with their incredible melodies.

The 20-year-old Zoe Asoumanaki won the coveted title of Miss Crete for 2021
I really had not felt and experienced such a glow of such an institution for a long time… I wish the girls a good career and I wish all of us to revive our relationship with the Greek pageant, to honor it as the old ones did and to highlight the Greek beauty abroad as generations did!!!
