FLEXIBLE are people born between the mid-60s and the 80s.
In fact, those who are now 40 to 55 years old belong to what we call the transition generation.
It is a generation that has learned growing up to adapt easily to the social changes of the times, always finding the balance. Precisely because of the great adaptability of this generation, the Framesi has therefore chosen to dedicate this collection
and name it FLEXIBLE.

FLEXIBLE as young people, as children and as adults

As children, the FLEXIBLE generation were consumers, they watched Japanese cartoons, a lot of TV and played with the first videogames. They have evolved more than any other generation, they are autonomous, independent and confident,
as they learned from an early age to walk on their own feet, usually having parents who were absent from home due to work.
This autonomy was the basis for the FLEXIBLE children to grow stronger and grow up to be
always in harmony with the rest of the world around them.

As young people, they were frantically consuming various cultural phenomena that changed almost every decade,
making the art of adaptation even more natural for them.
The hedonism of the 80s, imbued with the anxiety of success, the obsession with the perfection of the body
but also money, created a versatile people without shame, obsessed with branded clothes
and addicted to widely accepted social statuses.
So the aim was to draw attention to a world where “having” equated to “being”.

Even more serious issues, such as environmental risk and AIDS, have marked these years deeply,
dramatically curtailing those carefree years.
As an adult, FLEXIBLE experimented with revolutionary new features, including computers, mobile phones and social networks
and once again, he learned to incorporate them into his life and use them every day,
both on a personal and professional level.

The fashion for FLEXIBLE

Looking at women’s fashion, we find a generation that has switched from the excess of shiny taffeta and jackets
with huge men’s epaulettes, which were in fashion in the late 80s and early 90s,
in minimalism but also clothes that are more unisex.
A few years later, at the turn of the new millennium, these same women find themselves for the first time with a mobile phone in their hands,
finally connected to everyone, enjoying a new vision of beauty and style.
Here comes the Girl Power that through planetary phenomena like the Spice Girls and Sex & the City,
begins to speak in a different way of femininity, emphasizing the beauty of different personalities.
No more uniformity, but uniqueness!

And today, how are the FLEXIBLE women?

They are independent and determined, they love vintage and embrace the memories of their youth with nostalgia.
Having changed themselves many times, they love the uniqueness of their style and strongly believe in female empowerment. They are women committed to traditional values, but, because they are FLEXIBLE,
also have an open mind and positive thinking about what’s new.
Their taste represents the different aspects of their personality and varies accordingly.
They enjoy mixing and matching different styles and different seasons
(just like Carrie and her friends in the famous TV series).
You are likely to see the FLEXIBLE woman in a couture suit with a conceptual cut,
characteristic of 90s minimalist fashion, but also to see her wandering fast in stilettos,
running from the office to downtown for an aperitif!

This compilation is a small taste of what the 1,200 lucky winners will therefore have the opportunity to watch,
at the Framesi World Congress, 1-5 October, at Rodos Palace Hotel.
