The law of attraction. How often have you heard that?
“You just have to think about it and want it badly and it will come true!”
“We attract what we think.”
How true is that?
Today I will give you a more informed explanation!
I think about it, I imagine it, I attract it!
I’m sure you’ve heard of the book The Secret that was a big hit a few years ago.
The recipe was simple: you just have to imagine what you want, to feel like you already have it.
and the whole universe will do anything to bring them to your feet!
Isn’t it magical?
Life Coaching & the law of attraction
The above approach seems unrealistic and yet it is linked to certain rules of our behaviour and psychology .
Envisioning the future state is a key exercise we do in Life Coaching and I will share it with you.
Imagine the desired future state you are trying to reach.
Then ask yourself the following questions:
- What exactly is it that you want to achieve? Describe it in detail.
- When you achieve what you want, how will you feel every day?
- How will you know you’ve done it?
- How will your environment change when you do?
- How far is the present situation from the ideal future?
Visioning helps you to set the “benchmarks” forcomparingthe present with the future.
So gradually, you start to see everyday life more consciously.
And in a “magical” way… you begin to notice around you what is connected to your goal!
So suddenly, opportunities appear, you realize your strengths, you start taking risks and life changes.
Isn’t it a matter of luck?
We all know people we call “lucky“.
Not one opportunity comes to them, but many.
I understand that you may be disappointed when you notice it.
When you make the comparison, I want you to think about the following:
- What is it that sets them apart?
- What do they do about their “successes”?
- How do they think, what do they do differently from me?
- What are my thoughts about them and me?
- What would they think of me? What advice would they give me?
