Second chance to affected by the pandemic debtors, gives the Ministry of Finance, in order to settle overdue debts to the tax authorities.

It concerns those who were included in the old fixed arrangement on1 November 2019, but after that date they were excluded, either because they did not pay their instalments or because they left other newer debts unpaid or unarranged.

More specifically, those who are affected by the pandemic can join the 24 or 48 instalments by submitting an application for reintegration on the platform that has already been opened.

Reintegration is without income and property criteria and does not entail fines and surcharges.

However, those who are not affected will have to wait until 1/10/2021 to adjust again. Here too, no fines and surcharges are imposed, but income and asset criteria are provided for.

They will not be able to settle their debts for those who, apart from the fixed regulation, have missed another regulation in the last 2 years and those who bought real estate if the price exceeds 40% of the balance of the regulation that remains to be paid” said the tax expert Yannis Sallis to SKAI.

In the teleconference that Christos Staikouras will have tomorrow, Thursday, with the heads of the institutions, the regulation of the debts created during the pandemic will be locked.
