Tips to have a nice skin there are many… but the point is to find out what we are doing wrong. We deserve healthy skin, so let’s stop teasing it and thinking we’re doing it good. Read the most common mistakes most of us make, and stop them!!
Don’t touch your pimples
Do you have acne or pimples in general from time to time? Leave them alone and don’t push them, don’t squeeze them. When you do this, not only will they not disappear, but bacteria will penetrate very deeply, often injuring the skin, causing redness, possible infection and more skin problems, pimples and blackheads.
Sunscreen everywhere
Sunscreen is not just for putting it on your back during sunbathing in the sea. You should apply it every day, winter, summer, whenever you leave your house, on your lips, neck and face. Especially especially the lips have no melanin, so they are more sensitive to the sun and need a lip balm with SPF30. Regarding sunbathing in the summer, it is advisable to avoid long exposure to the sun especially between 12-4 hours.
Away from hot water
You get in the bathroom and don’t get out until your skin is dry. I know you like this but you should know that high water temperature removes the natural oils of the skin and disturbs the surface layer of the skin, causing redness and irritation. So next time in your bath or shower, go for lukewarm water if you want to stay under it for a while.
No to any skincare product you see on social media
Nowadays, everyone is advertising through social media. This has its good points, because you can learn about each new product, but it also has its bad points. Why? Because you may have followed your favorite singer, actress, model, gymnast or just an influencer, to advertise something she likes, uses or has been paid to do, for example for her hair, skin, body… but that product doesn’t work for you and so by buying it, you just lose your money. It is advisable to consult a dermatologist or even your pharmacist before making any purchase.
An extra tip about skincare products, don’t change them often, before they have time to show you how their ingredients affect your skin. Be patient and keep them for at least four to six weeks.
You have a neck.
…and you have to use cleanser, moisturizers, serums, sunscreen and anything else you would put on your beautiful face, head. Even the neck shows signs of aging and many times you can tell a woman’s age from there.
Don’t overdo it with the exfoliation
Exfoliation should be done once or twice a week, depending on your skin type. So if you do more times, reduce them, if you don’t do them at all, start with at least 1.2 times a week. According to experts, too frequent exfoliation with scrubs, exfoliating cleansers, creams or toners with light acids, has been implicated several times for the appearance of acne in adults
We all need hydration
It’s a big mistake to think that just because you have oily skin you don’t need to moisturise. The skin, whatever its type, needs hydration. By asking a dermatologist, aesthetician or pharmacist, you can find the right moisturiser for you.
Do you cleanse your skin before you go to bed?
You came in tired from work, from the late night, from the walk and you ran straight to bed, without taking off your clothes, without putting on your pajamas and most importantly without cleaning your face. That’s a serious foul and that’s how you get annoying pimples from pores that can’t breathe. Make sure you cleanse and wash your skin every night to remove bacteria and dirt that have accumulated on its surface throughout the day.
If you see something different on your skin, such as a scar, a mole, a strange pimple, don’t neglect a visit to the dermatologist. It’s usually nothing. But what if it is? Once a year, get a good or bad test for proper prevention. Find the ideal dermatologist who has a dermatoscope, as the naked eye cannot be checked 100% correctly.
