Billie Eilish took her style to the skies with her look at this year’s Met Gala. The pop star walked the red carpet in a voluminous skin-coloured tulle dress. She combined the princess style of Oscar de la Renta with makeup inspired by old Hollywood. At the same time she wore over 30 pieces of Cartier jewellery. The most worn in one outfit.
“Doesn’t it speak for itself?” she said when asked about her outfit. She added that the look is “the first thing I’ve gotten good at.” It is rumored that Billie Eilish demanded that Oscar de la Renta stop selling furs in order for her to agree to wear his clothes. She was literally keeping the impressive outfit a secret before she hit the red carpet. Several people held a white curtain to hide her as she arrived on the stage. At the age of 19, Eilish is making history as the youngest co-presenter in gala history. She shares that lofty responsibility with actor Timothée Chalamet, tennis star Naomi Osaka and poet Amanda Gorman.
The first years
Eilish made baggy clothes her signature earlier in her career. But later he embraced a wider range of more glamorous appearances. Her style now ranges from colourful corsets to a range of styles inspired by vintage boudoir. She also changed her striking neon green hair color to a platinum blonde just before the release of her album “Happier Than Ever” in July.
Although this is the teen’s first appearance at the Met Gala, she’s no novice at walking the red carpet. The Met Gala comes a day after the VMAs, where Eilish wore an all-black ensemble. In addition to getting two trophies, he made a splash by overshadowing Jennifer Lopez when the “Dinero” singer took the stage for a surprise performance.
