There you go!
I hope you are in good health (both mental and physical).
Make a drink and let’s talk.
I see you every day rummaging through everything and when I say everything I don’t mean drawers and closets… I mean… social.
All social….
Facebook
Instagram
Pinterest
LinkedIn
TikTok
Tweet
Youtube ….
and the list gets longer and longer as the years go by.
Along with the list and the stimuli are becoming more and more numerous.
Through all this you have “met” many hairdressers around the world.
You follow their work constantly.
You click on them, like them, comment on them and all that interactive stuff.
You’re a fan!
Very nice so far.
But you don’t think that the road to success was all rose petals and coloured butterflies.
Some are still struggling as we speak, still studying, still judging and punishing themselves harshly for some wrong choice.
Hairdressing is about relationships.
Interpersonal relationships.
Which means that every hairdresser will first fight with his own demons, his own adversities, his own worries in order to arrive in front of you with that smile you see even through the mask.
In order to provide the ultimate in service he has been slapped around a lot.
Even the people who are described as lucky because they had their mom or dad a hairdresser and you think they got it all done, I’m sorry to disappoint you, but these people have gone through fire and brimstone to prove first to themselves and then to others that they are worthy to be trusted.
Always in mum’s salon at first you’ll be the one they’ll look at half-eyed. You’ll be the new guy, the new fish.
How many rejections do you think someone gives up on? If you were chasing a boyfriend at 5:00, you’d be called stupid.
Ε! I inform you that the hairdresser eats more noodles every day than you can imagine.
From customers?
From bosses?
From the hairdresser parents?
The struggle to claim a position within a salon is a daily struggle.
Even after years.
No one teaches you how to claim.
If you have stubbornness, fine.
If you have the courage, fine.
If you have the nerve, fine.
Otherwise you will be swallowed up in disappointment.
There will be someone with all of the above and they will run you down.
If we take the other category of the person who without any family support chose this profession then things are a bit more difficult.
If for the hairdresser’s child there is already a place, then for the graduate without means things get even more difficult and all the above needs to be added to 2.
You’re going to tell me that in all jobs it’s like that. Yes! but I’ll tell you about what I’ve experienced.
Life is an arena.
Arena for a better share of the pie.
So when you watch your favorite hairdressers don’t just admire their beautiful results but admire their patience and perseverance that despite the stumbling blocks they put up daily they get up, dust off their knees and move forward again.
Marvel at the people they have become.
Admire the way they deal with life.
He marveled at their endurance to physical fatigue but at the same time that they seem to be thriving with a smile up to their ears.
Admire their patience, because when it comes to dealing with women….e! we are not the easiest creatures to deal with.
He admired the restraint.
He marveled at the child they harbor within them.
Marvel at the love they give to all of you every day, even if they don’t know you.
Marvel at their boundless energy.
He marveled at how resourceful they are.
Hairdressers are worth twice as much!
Apart from your hair, they will also fix your psychology even if they have a lot of problems weighing on them that you will never know about!
These and more are the hairdressers and are to be congratulated.
If you’ve found your favorite hairdresser and you trust him blindly…
If you have found the one who, apart from your hair, you trust with your soul …
then you have found the treasure at the end of the rainbow!
Don’t leave him!
And if he happens to have a bad day, forgive him…he deserves it.
