When the phone rings,
no one will answer you
will all be painted
Hands, bowls and brushes
On the first hit… you throw me a bomba
Strike two… you want another color
On the third strike you show the root
And you insist on staying…
The chant arranged, cut and sewn to the desperate hairdresser’s standards when one doesn’t understand that the colour service is not just a dye job!
Dear Colleagues… Yours!!!!
And a dialogue can start as follows:
-I want my hair to be lighter without decapage or
– Are you gonna put me… or
– Here’s what I want, but it’s not going to come out exactly like that, is it?
And that’s where the mini seminars with the people who trust us start.
And we try in a few minutes and in simple words, so as not to burn you out, to explain to you how things are.
It’s very important to understand that when we’re looking at the colour chart together, we’re not choosing what colour to put in the bowl where I’m creating my mix, but the colour you want me to create in your hair.
So I want you to show me the desired result.
Leave everything else to me
For my part, I have a few things to think about…
- What tone is your natural tone?
- What tone and shade is the artificial colour you are likely to have?
- What tone and shade is the desired color?
- Do I darken or open?
- Do I neutralize or enhance nuances?
- What oxidizer should I use?
- What is the total mix I need to create?
- What is the percentage of white hair I have to cover?
- What is the correct ratio of dye and oxidant depending on the percentage of whites?
- What is the correct technical application of the mixture for each case?
- Do I need any prep work before I can start the application?
- What is the length of stay?
- What are the appropriate care products I should use after the technique?
- How do I reset the pH of the hair after dyeing to achieve a longer lasting colour lock?
So all this to think about I have a few minutes until my colleagues prepare you for the technical work that we will carry out …
Wello;;;;
If you can do it, do it yourself!
It is done! And yet it can be done!
Everything falls into place in my mind in a few seconds…
Tons, shades, oxidants, boosts, neutralisations, percentages, grams, instructions, ratios…
Lights, camera, go…! Or rather, scales, bowl and away we go!
You might see me putting 4 – 5 different tubes in the bowl I prepare for you!
You see me … from one of them I put a stump… yes it’s true, I have a reason ...
How can I explain, to explain it to you, it’ll be months before you leave and then you’ll ask me for a badge…or a degree!
I can’t see!
I ask one thing of you…
Fully understand that the Technique I am performing is not a waffle…
I am not giving you a waffle, my dear!
I’m providing you with a specialized color service!
Please don’t call me a waffle because you’re upsetting me and I’m at a critical age!
And behind this service, there is a story.
Do you want me to tell you right away? I’ll tell you!
I once went to a
school
and got some basic knowledge.
Rules and exceptions.
A very important start! You can’t go on otherwise…
Then, on my days off and in the hours I wasn’t working, I would go around like an unjust curse from company to company, from seminar to seminar, to learn about new products, new technologies, new ingredients, new techniques.
I was taking notes, and planning quickly so as not to miss what the presenter or technician was saying or showing.
Several years later I got a camera.
A great help then, but also a great worry that I wouldn’t burn my film.
I had it twice and I was running away !!!
The years went by and I got a digital camera. Redemption!
How could you remember all that?!
Lots of notes, lots of notebooks, lots of drawings and sketches, lots of reading, lots of studying.
Yes, study is a better word, because everything I’m describing to you cannot be simply read.
I have to study them, learn them and “make them my own”.
Get them in my head and make them work with automation.
I don’t have much time when I’m making your paint, everything has to work quickly and correctly.
And you’ll say to me … Why all this?
To see you and to see you again, smiling…
