World Music Day in Greece

On the occasion of World Music Day which was, Tuesday 21 June,
we have gathered some of the celebrations of this day around Greece,
as well as some of the concerts that coincided with this day.

Stable Communications participated again this year in the great celebration of arts and culture,
on World Music Day and welcomed them at the Metro station “Syntagma“,
at 19:30 the composer and lyricist Kostas Livadas and the singer Vicky Karatzoglou .
Metro routes get a musical upgrade with the help of the Kostas Livadas
and the passengers of the stationary means of transport enjoyed a unique concert,
at the level of ticket validation machines.

to be reconstituted in a space unexpected by the Metro passenger public.
Through the power of music, STA.SY adds a different tone to the travel of passengers on fixed railways.

The Museum of Byzantine Culture, in the framework of the celebrations of the World Music Day,
held a concert at 20:00 with choral songs of the Sephardic musical tradition,
by the Ladino Choir of Thessaloniki, the Association of Friends of Music of Kalamaria & the New Choir of the Municipality of Kalamaria.
Directed by Kostis Papazoglou .

Concerts on music day.

Among the events that took place to celebrate this day, several concerts coincided.
Indicatively, we will mention the great concert of Alkistis Protopsaltis in Veria, at the “Melina Mercouri” Also Theatre.
and Socrates Malamas in Athens, at the Katrakio Theatre of Nice.

“AND WE’RE STILL HUMAN”.
This is the name of the tour of the great performer Alkistis Protopsaltis, from the album of the same name.

The explosive artist with her unique artistic quality that distinguishes her, stirred up the audience of Veria,
with an amazing program that included important moments in the Greek discography,
songs from the bright timbre of her voice and more.
In addition, together with her 5 distinguished musicians, she enriched the evening with her new songs
WINNERS LOST, LIGHT, and WE REMAIN PEOPLE.

The beloved Socrates Malamas, performed for the second consecutive night at the Katrakio Theatre of Nice, a unique concert.
Touring is now a family affair, not only because his musical family has been together for years,
but also because his two sons were added to it, one with his vocal abilities, the other with his percussion skills.



The talented singer-songwriter managed to stir up the audience and get a huge applause,
from the crowd of people who were there, some for the second day in a row, to enjoy it again.
