An extension of quarantine, as expected, and the closure of schools for two weeks, was announced a short while ago by Mr. Nikos Chardalias, Deputy Minister of Civil Protection, as cases remain at high levels. Today we have had 2405 cases, 521 intubated and 49 deaths!
The strict banning measures continue, not letting us do the Good Monday we all would like to do. The bans are several and different in each region!!!!
In Athens and Thessaloniki, the curfew starts at 21:00 on weekdays and at 19:00 on weekends. This will continue and will also apply on the Easter Monday holiday.
But what about the other areas that are in the “deep red”?
Areas that are in the “deep red” will have a curfew at 19:00. These regions are Thesprotia, Larissa, Arta, Fthiotida, Fthiotida, Aitoloakarnania, Lefkada, Fokida, Boeotia, Evia, Achaia, Corinthia, Arcadia, Argolida, Chios, Samos, Rhodes and Heraklion, Crete.
In strict lockdown – at the level of very high risk “deep red” – the regional units of Evritania, Halkidiki, Kilkis and Lesvos, as well as the municipalities of Ioannina, Metsovo, Katerini, Skiathos and Chania.
Prohibitive travel measures and on Clean Monday!
The measures continue to be what we know. We wear a mask, keep a 2 meter distance from any human and text 13033 for any movement. Specifically outside of two kilometers we can only go with message number six, i.e. movement for exercise. In this case there is no mileage limit, as long as you are walking or cycling. A mileage exception is also made in cases where you need to visit a doctor outside your municipality, i.e. using message 2.
Of course, all of this requires evidence.
