The Art of Hair Styling

Interview of Tsaous Fatma (KYANA) to Angela Euripides (ArtandYou.gr team).

In the hairdressing industry, I met many colorists who brought out unique colors on the models’ heads… others impressed with their unique haircuts, also known as coupers. I, on the other hand, because of the length of my hair, I have always worked with hair experts who actually did an excellent hair styling, inspired by the trend of each fashion, year or even their country.

My collaborations with these artists…

So as I mentioned before, my collaborations with these artists produced time-consuming but unique hairstyles. Sometimes painfully so, because they used various constructions braided with our hair, and while the result was stunning… perhaps the audience didn’t understand because of the exaggeration. There was also no willingness on their part, as they were all hairdressers, to transfer this information into their daily lives with their clients.
The hairdressers who were creative, flamboyant, effective and inspired everyone who saw them to emulate them… they were the ones who still exist today!

One such case is that of the excellent artist Chaus Fatma, whom I met recently and she really surprised me in the best way.
The low-key Hair Expert who lives in Komotini, came to Athens a month ago for a seminar on evening and bridal hairstyles, organized by Kyana at Hairdressingnews.com studio, surprising everyone.
Immediately after the end of the presentation , of course I was going to do a mini interview with her so that you could get to know her in turn.

When do you remember yourself wanting to get into hairdressing?

There are many years that I remember wanting to get involved… however I started when I was 15 years old.

Why did you choose Hair Styling and not one of the other arts like cutting or dyeing?

I do everything, but I prefer evening and bridal hairstyles.

How do you get inspired?

My inspiration comes to me during hairstyling… I love nature and its elements such as flowers and roses in particular. However, I am influenced by a favourite artist, Adnan Serter.

Has there ever been an inspiration that didn’t come to you?

Not ever.

What is it that you have not yet achieved?

There is nothing I tried and failed to do. But I definitely have a lot of things in my mind that I want to achieve.

What is the ideal hair length for all your hairstyles to come out perfectly?

Long hair is what helps to perfect an effect.

Dream country where you would like to go and present your work?

I don’t have a specific one in mind, with great pleasure wherever Kyana sends me, I will go to present it.

What is the ingredient that makes your collaboration with Kyana unique?

The excellent and correct partners.

Those of you who want to attend her next seminar and “steal” some of her ideas… on 12/12/21 is your chance!!!
