We are now officially in 2021 (BYE, 2020 – YOU WILL NOT LOSE US), which means it’s time for two main things: One, to change our agenda and two, to retire all the old designs we repeatedly did to our nails last year and try something new (RIP skittle manicure).
Luckily I’ve spent endless hours poking around on IG to find the most popular colours and generally see all the nail trends that will be playing *everywhere* in the new year. From leopard print to colourful French, these are the seven best nail trends you need to know this year.
Black and White
How elegant this black and white design is! You’ll need a very fine brush (essential for creating precise, ultra-thin lines), black polish and opaque white nail polish to DIY this trendy manicure.
Brown Nail Polish
The rich, brown colour of chocolate (yummy) is the neutral colour you need in your life. Not only is it fashionable for 2021, but it’s truly gorgeous and suits all skin tones. Use it to paint just the tips of your nails and the entire index finger nail if you want to create a cooler effect.
Green Tips
This version of the French manicure is by far my favorite version instead of the classic one. Prepare your nails with a clear base and then use five different shades of green, painting each tip with a different colour.
Multi-Print
We love prints in general! The only rule? Keep the colour palette in the same family and let him understand.

Maximalist designs, such as this geometric pattern, dominate in 2021. Draw them and then apply a good glossy top coat and you’re done.

Too many words are poverty! I’ll just say that it’s hard not to get obsessed with this trend.
Confetti Manicure
