A born hairdresser!

His involvement with hairdressing began in 1953 at the age of 15 and lasted for 57 years.
She followed top hairdressing programs at renowned hairdressing salons.
From the beginning of his training, he stood out for his technical skill and his eye for detail.

His career

After completing his training, Joshua Galvin worked in well-known salons where he developed his skills,
and his knowledge of new techniques, while at the same time he managed to gain the trust of both colleagues,
and its customers.

His collaboration with Vidal Sassoon

The recognition of Joshua Galvin ‘s talent did not take long to come.
During the Swinging Sixties he joined Vidal Sassoon‘s group,
which was an important chapter in his professional career.
Joshua called upon his already considerable experience to create men’s hairstyles of the decade,
as well as the geometric cuts that were Sassoon‘s trademark.

His love for education

Joshua Galvin didn’t just limit himself to the salon.
He had crossed many countries in order to attend fashion shows, seminars and educational events.
In addition to creating stunning hairstyles, his dedication was earned by training young hairdressers.
He had five training academies in London and Essex, thus earning the unofficial title of :
“the father of modern hairdressing education”, and was also a member of the board
the Fellowship for British Hairdressing.

Joshua Galvin passed away in 2011, but the story and career he left behind,
