Images that speak…

Ever since I was a little kid, I was looking for something different…
I didn’t know what I was looking for…
I didn’t know what to wear…
But I knew in my heart that in the search I would find what would make me feel unique emotions.

Images that speak …

On one of my first trips to Paris I spent my free time going to museums.
One of them was the Pompidou.
A surreal museum in the centre of Paris!

I stayed inside all day!
I was mesmerized, walking alone all day, searching and trying to understand the thoughts of each artist!
Works of art from dough, from thread, from paint, from caps, from… from… from… from all kinds of materials!
Unique images…
That day I was born artistically, that day I felt in myself that I wanted to find something different in my work.

The surrealist movement was born in Paris by a small group of writers and artists who tried to use the unconscious as a medium to unleash the power of the imagination.

Why can’t I make hair art too?
Of course I can!!!!

Disregarding rationalism and literary realism, and strongly influenced by Sigmund Freud.

Surrealists believed that logic suppressed the power of imagination, weighing it down with taboos.
Influenced also by Karl Marx, they believed that the soul had the power to reveal the contradictions in the everyday world and spark off revolution.

Surrealism is the way that elevates the imagination, creating a redemptive “reality” of art, which is more necessary today than ever.

It’s unique to create based on art of any kind that can influence you and create moments for you that speak to your heart.

In my classes I always talk about the realistic and surrealistic positioning of the trainee.

In education…

In training you must first realistically and in absolute detail copy the lesson without putting in your own elements.

I am addressing experienced colleagues and of course a beginner can also follow, I have done my training so that you can easily follow and understand the techniques exactly.

Second step after the realistic placement of the artist, to let go of his imagination and with the same technique to create with his own aesthetics a new work of art!

We are artists, inspiration, creation and aesthetics are integral parts of our wonderful work!

Climbing images from the exhibition

In the video below you will see the first art exhibition I created with hair as a result of my thinking, from the art museum I mentioned above. The exhibition was a collaboration with a unique photographer in 2010 Manos Agrimakis. We worked for a year and created what you will see with inspiration from ancient Greece!

I hope it inspires you!!!!
