The biggest live Makeup Art competition in Greece.
The Greek Makeup Art Awards competition, comes stronger to establish itself in the makeup industry!
On 2-3 October, as part of the HAIRPROF exhibition, she returns to the Tae Kwon Do stadium and concerns the art of
Makeup & Body Painting with the highlight of the competition being the Greek Makeup Artist of the Year 2022.
Its aim is to showcase the most talented makeup artists, as it is the first competition to be held live.
The competition is open to professionals, self-taught and student makeup artists.
All winners of the competition will receive makeup products from professional companies.
The jury consists of leading professional make up, s.f.x. and body painting artists.

Contest themes to claim the title of Greek Makeup Artist of the Year 2022.
1 ο Topic: Bridal Makeup / Time 60 minutes
Bridal makeup, application on a female model (no age and skin color restriction).
Preparation
The contestant will enter the venue with their model, without any preparation, on the face, as far as makeup is concerned.
The model can be dressed in an outfit (wedding dress or evening gown), but also combed her hair.
(Attention, the judges will not take this into account, it is purely for the aesthetic effect).
Contest
Each contestant will sit in his/her personal mirror, where it will be determined by lottery, at that time.
It will prepare the products to be used.
Then, the supervisors will check whether the models’ faces are “clean”.
The whole make-up application from the beginning to the end is done live at the competition venue, within the time allotted.
At the end of the time, the contestant will need to be removed from the model and its mirror,
but also from the competition site.
The invigilator will call the jury, so that the scoring can begin.
(The jury will not know whose contestant will be the model, nor the names of the contestants).
Prohibited (allowed that is not mentioned).
Contact lenses.
Strass, any decorative element.
Additional materials.
Finally, painting on any part of the face.
Theme 2: Creative Makeup / Time 80 minutes
Creative makeup, application on a female model (no age and skin colour restrictions).
Preparation
The contestant will enter the space with his/her model, without any preparation, on the face and bust (portrait),
as far as makeup is concerned.
The model can be dressed with an outfit or combed her hair
(attention will not be taken into account by the judges, it is purely for the aesthetic effect).
Contest
Each contestant will sit in their personal mirror, set up the products they will use.
The supervisors will check if the models’ faces and busts are “clean”.
All the makeup application from start to finish is done live at the competition venue, within the time allotted.
Once the time is up, the contestant will need to be removed from the model, their mirror and the competition area.
The supervisor will call the judges to start the scoring
(the judges will not know which contestant has the best model, nor the names of the contestants).
Prohibited
Contact lenses.
Special effects.
Allowed
Strass and additional materials.
Dyeing of wool.
Finally, makeup up to the bust of the model (portrait).
Topic 3: Body painting Time 5 hours
Body painting application on a female or male model (over 18 years old and regardless of skin color).
Preparation
The contestant will then come to the venue, with his model, without any preparation, on his face and body.
Contest
Each contestant will enter a “closed to the public” area.
First, he will set up the products and props he will use.
Then the supervisors will check if the models’ faces and bodies are “clean”.
The entire application of Body painting from beginning to end is done in space, within the time allotted.
Once the time is up, the contestant will need to step away from the model and its mirror.
and get out of the competition area.
Then all the models will go up to the open stage, where the judges will be waiting to score each model.
(the judges will not know to which contestant each model belongs, nor the names of the contestants).
The subject matter of Body painting must therefore be based on the subject.
The model should also wear underwear, and the nipples should be covered.
The application of Body painting can be done with any tool, airbrush, sponge and brush.
Prohibited
Additional materials on the body, special effects, (allowed only on props).
Allowed
Dyeing of wool.
Contact lenses.
Gold dust, strass.
Placement of items and props on the head, chest and body
(which will not affect the painting on the body. Attention! The judges will take it into account 20% of the total score).
Monday 03 October – Start time 10:30 am
Attention!
Please all participants of the theme (BODY PAINTING), which starts on Monday 03 October at 10:30am,
be present at the entrance of the exhibition at the opening time of 10:00 a.m., in order to get your entrance cards in time,
so that there is no delay in starting the competition.
Therefore, please inform the admission officer that you are for the competition to get priority.
4th Theme: editorial makeup for fashion magazine (Photo Contest)
Each contestant participates with 1 photo (portrait) of the model,
depicting his proposal in the relevant category.
Photos must be delivered in high resolution and minimum 4000pixel on the large side (4K type) in Jpeg format
with the least possible compression, via the website, at sophiavoulala@hotmail.com.
Photos can be taken with a digital camera or a mobile phone but with a good camera.
Valid entries are those for which the entry form has been completed, the photo has been sent
and the fee has been paid by 25/9/2022 at the latest.
The editing of the photographic material is prohibited, but the editing of the colours is allowed.
