The biggest hairdressing competition in Greece!
As part of the unique Professional Hair Salon Exhibition HAIRPROF,
is organized for the fifth consecutive year the 5th Greek Hairdressing Awards Competition,
where its aim is to showcase the modern talented hairdressers in Greece!
The Greek Hairdressing Awards 2022 competition is all about women’s hairdressing with a highlight of the competition,
the Greek Hairdresser of the Year 2022 (the best hairdresser of the year),
title with high visibility.
This competition is open to hairdressers – hairdressers, and the themes are drawn from
through the daily work of the salon in haircut, hairstyle, colour and the new global fashion trends.
The Greek Hairdressing Awards 2022 will take place on Sunday 2 and Monday 3 October 2022.
Conditions to take part in the competition.
The competition is open to hairdressers – hairdressers or students of any age.
Students of hairdressing schools from all over Greece and Cyprus can participate in the student competition
(IEK, EPAL, private schools, etc.).
The competitions are based on regulations drawn up by the organizing committee of HAIRCLUB GREECE
and announced on the official website of the competition and on blogkommoton.gr.
The contestants and their models must be at the competition site 1 hour before the start of the competition.

The contestants are responsible for the handling and storage of the tools,
of their accessories and personal belongings.
The organisers are not responsible in case of injury or loss.
The results of the competition will be posted within 15-20 calendar days after the competition,
on the official site of the competition & on blogkommoton.gr.
The organisers are not responsible for the scoring of the judges, which is done under fair and transparent conditions.
The judges are solely responsible for their own judging, without any interference or interference,
the organization of the HAIRPROF Exhibition and HAIR CLUB GREECE.
The scores of the judges, once submitted to the contest secretariat, cannot be changed by any of the judges.

Contestants and their models must have their police ID or passport with them,
in case they are requested to provide identification.
Each contestant shall deliver to the secretariat an affidavit stating that his/her model is participating pro bono.
Each contestant participating in the “Junior Hairdressing Awards” student competition & “Junior Barber Awards”
before the start of the competition, you must submit to the secretariat a certificate of studies for the period 2021-2022.
No contestant may participate in the competition unless he/she has paid the entry fee.
In any other case, his/her participation is cancelled.
Each contestant has the right to withdraw his/her participation and to be refunded the fees up to
and 10 days before the start of the competitions.
Right to object
The results of the competitions are obtained after the detailed results of the judges have been finalised
and only for the correctness of their transfer from the judges’ handwritten forms to the electronic format.
An objection may be lodged within 10 calendar days from the date of the announcement of the detailed results.
Objections during the tenders, regarding the technical conditions of each subject, are submitted directly to the Tenders Committee.
and the committee shall decide on the validity of the objection and whether to accept or reject it.
The contestants and their models grant the right of exploitation of the audiovisual material from the competition they participated in to the organizers.
The organizers are not obliged to photograph the models of each contestant separately.
The organisers reserve the right to amend the above rules with the obligation to announce the changes,
on the official website of the competition.
Greek Hairdresser of the Year 2022.
The Greek Hairdressing Awards 2022 competition consists of 4 different themes with separate prizes for the 1st, 2nd & 3ο
the winner of each theme.
Conditions to claim the title:
- Be a hairdresser.
- Participate in at least 3 of the 4 themes of the Greek Hairdressing Awards 2022 competition.
- (If someone wishes to participate in all 4 subjects, his/her total score will be calculated from the three highest scoring subjects).
Anyone can participate in only one or two of the themes of the Greek Hairdressing Awards 2022, but cannot claim the title of Greek Hairdresser of the Year 2022 if they do not participate in at least 3 themes.
The Greek Hairdressing Awards 2022 will take place on Sunday 2 and Monday 3 October 2022.
Competition topics to claim the title of Greek Hairdresser of the Year 2022:
1st Topic: Avante Garde (in MONTELO)
In this matter, each contestant has the opportunity to express himself/herself freely and without restrictions.
To show his true artistic character.
You are asked to create a complete concept in hair, clothes, and make-up on a live model,
resulting in an impressive result that surpasses all imagination.
All accessories, braids, extensions, wigs, items are allowed.
The scoring will be proportional for the whole concept.
In addition, the contestant may have an assistant (make-up).
The ultimate goal is to have a complete set.
Theme time 30 minutes for finishing and setting up the model.
The preparation of the Hairstyle is required to be done in your own place (home, salon or hotel),
before the start of the competition.
2nd Topic: Before & After After (in MODEL)
Inspired by Instagram and the social media that dominate the life of the modern hairdresser,
the Before & After is a very interesting and topical subject, which aims to highlight the ability of each hairdresser to
in creating the best possible change in his client.
Contestants will have their model take a photo of the PRIN,
which will be stuck to the mirror at the time of the competition.
The preparation of the color will have been done in the salon.
On the day of the competition, the haircut and styling will take place live on set,
so that the judges can compare the BEFORE photo with the final result and score accordingly.
Colours, lengths, styling: free choice.
Subject time: 60 minutes .
3rd Theme: Bridal Hairstyle (in MODEL)
Contestants will proceed to the places drawn along with their model.
The model’s hair can be prepared e.g. with a blow dryer, roller, or iron.
Under no circumstances, however, should they be brushed, creped or paved.
If this happens there will be penalty points.
The wedding dress is mandatory.
All combing tools are allowed.
All kinds of products are also allowed.
In case the products belong to a company not participating as an exhibitor at HAIRPROF, they must be covered with tape.
Only bobbins and no other supports are allowed.
Otherwise penalty points will be awarded.
An ornament is allowed as long as it does not exceed 20% of the total hairstyle.
All colours and dichromes are allowed .
Multi-colours and the colours green, blue and yellow as well as spray paint are prohibited.
Braids and extensions are allowed, as long as they are the same colour as the model’s hair.
They can also be prepared in their hairstyle (e.g. iron or roller )under no circumstances should they be combed,
ready to be placed.
Otherwise, penalty points will be awarded.
Topic time: 40 minutes.
4o Theme: Round Layers -Round Filleting
The Round Layers technique creates texture on the inner part of the haircut with round layers and softness all around the perimeter. It is therefore a haircut that can be adapted to all lengths (short – medium – long).
As well as in all textures (curly – curly – curly – white).
Attention to:
Posture (always 90 degrees opposite our partition).
We work with the outside of our fingers (to give the right curvature to our shape; the result
of the perimeter to be round)
Partitions and sections:
Back: radial dividers.
Central profile partition – radial circular partitions.
Front part: radial partitions.
Central profile partition; radial horizontal partitions.
Breakdown:
Rear: 90 degrees.
Front part: 90 degrees.
Perimeter: natural fall.
Cut:
Back: Parallel to the head.
Front part: parallel to the head.
Perimeter: point cutting (we check the perimeter visually).
Topic Time: 40 minutes.
Models must be bathed (there are no bathing facilities at the competition site.
Also because the haircut will need to be checked by the judges for angles and filleting, the styling products used should allow for this check (e.g. products such as gel and hairspray do not facilitate this check).
