You decide to take up hairdressing! You start this wonderful profession by attending a school of your choice. You finish and decide it’s not enough. You keep looking. You can find further training seminars or follow a whole cycle of further training seminars to complete your knowledge. You go to schools abroad. And just when you say all is well, I’m ready to enter the job market, you realize that there are still gaps in your knowledge!
I want to tell you at this point that you will be searching for the rest of your life.
Because hairdressing is an amazing profession that will never let you get bored! You will always be looking for something more and there will always be new techniques that you should always keep up to date on!
And now look what’s happening!
Have you wondered where all these techniques come from? Where the inspiration for all these wonderful results comes from that hairdressers have been launching in collaboration with companies over the years? They result from hairdressing competitions! Yes! You heard right!
Hairdressing competitions are like fashion shows!
There you will see many clothes, crazy in many cases, that no sane person would dare to wear and go out! And if he did, they would probably lock him up in a mental hospital. Wrong of course! Because to create these clothes you can be sure that there is a huge amount of know-how behind them. To create these volumes in the clothes, to make the colours and textures fit together, to make everything stand where it should, there are endless hours of work behind the scenes. Endless hours of training, endless “experiments” that didn’t go well! And then all of this is adapted in softer tones to the everyday clothes that will now come off the production line. Each house launches its own style and that is the basis for the commercial lines that will be released en masse afterwards.
