Covid-19 and hair loss

How many of you have gone through periods of intense stress or some who have
done some procedures and have noticed a lot of hair loss?

I’m sure there are many of you and many of you.

Let’s see what happens to many women today especially after they get sick with Covid-19.

Why is my hair falling out?

What happens to a person’s body when they get covid-19, is that they go into shock!
There are mechanisms within our bodies that are working much harder at this time to deal with this emergency.

This results in the hair growth cycle taking a back seat.
So, it enters what we call the telogen phase.

So when the hair follicle enters the telogen phase it means that it is not growing properly.
This is observed after 3-4 months of the disease, when a very large amount of hair loss begins.

How much hair will fall out?

Covid -19 and hair loss

Under normal conditions we lose on average about 50 to 100 hairs a day.
They go through their life cycle and are replenished.
When the follicles enter the telogen phase, it can be observed that we will lose about 300 to 400 hairs per day. That is why an alopecia is created.

Don’t be scared.

This kind of hair loss that comes from the body shock caused by Covid.
It goes through its cycle and returns to its previous state.

What should I do?

Sometimes the obvious needs to be said again!

When we face such a problem the first thing we have to do is to visit a dermatologist.
The doctor is the one who will see the clinical picture of the skin and decide what treatment to follow.

Under no circumstances should we take advice and treatments from people who are not the
their specialty.

My article today is purely informative and is not a means of diagnosing your problem!!!

Only your doctor can tell you what to do.

Yours sincerely,
