There’s a new frame that has our attention this year and it’s going to give your fall look the refresh it needs.
So it’s the bob “bubble”, a look that is emerging as one of the most popular haircuts of the year,
which is confirmed by the biggest salons in the world.
“It’s defined by that ’90s curve that we see coming back,” explains hairstylist Luke Hersheson,
who came up with the name of the new it- hairstyle.
“Natalie Portman’s hair in Closer is a great reference, and so is Christy Turlington’s 90s bob.”
A curved shape combined with edges that turn underneath are the hallmarks of this frame.
It is a style that flatters most face shapes because of its length:
It is located in that space between the shoulders and the chin. Somewhere in this gap, there is usually a length for everyone.
Why is the bubble bob the fall trend?
The lively hairstyles have dominated the last few months, so the bubble bob represents a new style
a brilliant departure from this aesthetic.

“It’s very important to note how it’s styled – texture is a key part of that look,” says Hersheson.
“Think of a classic, old-school, ultra-soft blow dry that’s slightly curved underneath.”
She further recommends using a round brush to achieve the look at home.
Like the hush cut, another big hair trend this year, the bubble bob is a lightweight haircut full of movement.
“It’s cut with an invisible layer, so it has less weight,” says Hersheson.
“It’s important that it doesn’t look too graphic, it’s more of an early Noughties look.”
The hairstyle is extremely chic, but also can be pulled off on fresh skin with minimal makeup,
while we’re already seeing it-girls trying it out.
