Sometimes we need a lot of time for our visit to a salon. By the time all the dyeing and combing procedures are completed, it can take more than an hour or two. But what do we do when we have to sit almost motionless for so many hours? Sure we’ll have a chat with the hairdresser, we’ll fool around on the phone and eventually we’ll get bored. So here are 3 simple self-improvement exercises that you can do while you’re waiting at the salon so you’ll never get bored!
Who’s here?
While you are sitting, look around to see what other people are in the room. How old can they be, what are they wearing, what is their voice like, what is it that sets them apart from the others? Then look away and try to remember everything you just saw.
This exercise helps to improve memory and observation.
Find objects!
Look around and try to identify the following:
– 10 round objects,
– 10 objects with a rectangular shape,
– 3 objects with an irregular shape.
In this way you practice your observation and perception of space.
“Mirror, mirror, my mirror”
Let’s use some imagination! So imagine that the mirror in front of you can talk.
What would the mirror say about you if it saw you for the first time?
Try to be objective and describe yourself as if you were seen by someone who doesn’t know the slightest detail about you, but only sees your image.
What do your body language and expressions say about you?
How would one describe your character?
This is a powerful exercise in developing self-awareness.
With these exercises your waiting time will certainly be a pleasant one.
Apart from the hairdressing salon, you can perform the above self-improvement exercises in other places, wherever you are.
This way you spend your time creatively and contribute to the development of your personal skills.
Good luck!
